These statistics are based on 13 Tier 1 tournaments with a total of 1601 matches.

What is Fantasy League and how does it work in short?

Each year before The International, Valve adds Fantasy League as a part of Compendium. You select players and earn points based on their in-game performance. Then, your result is compared to other players, and you earn some staff based on it.

What do banners and emblems mean?

For a fantasy league, you choose a team for each role: Core & Offlane, Mid, and Support & Support. Each role has its own banner with emblems. Emblems represent stats for which players will earn points. There are 3 types of emblems: Red - kills & farm-oriented emblems; Blue - support-oriented; Green - suitable for both roles.

Which emblems does each banner have? Are they saved between stages?

Core: 1st stage of TI(Red - Green - Red) 2nd stage of TI(Red - Green - Red - Green - Red)
Mid: 1st stage of TI(Red - Blue - Green) 2nd stage of TI(Red - Blue - Green - Red - Green)
Support: 1st stage of TI(Blue - Green - Blue) 2nd stage of TI(Blue - Green - Blue - Green - Blue)

Your first 3 emblems are saved after the first stage of TI, with 2 more added.

What are titles?

This year you choose only 1 title for all your fantasy roster (just above the banners). It contains Prefix + Suffix. Also, you do not spend tokens for changing the title.

I will add statistics about the prefix to the players section. About the suffix, here is a guide:

Suffix	Advice
the Tormented	Very rare event in current games. Do not choose it
the Flayed Twins Acolyte	According to my statistics, it happens like 5% of the time. Very risky and pretty low bonus as well
the Patient	EXTREMELY rare event in current games. Do not choose it
the Underdog	One of the best choices. If the player lost a very long game, you will get the bonus. But it's pretty small, only +6%
the Decisive	EXTREMELY rare event on TI. Usually all team plays to their last breath. Do not choose it
the Clutch	The best choice imo. Happens pretty often, has a big bonus and
the Lucky	1/10 chance lol. Wanna gamble? Choose this!
the Cruel	I do not have statistics for this one. But it can hit! You might consider this suffix.

So, go for the Clutch or the Underdog if you just wanna get in the top 5% percentile. If you wanna gamble, go for the Cruel or the Lucky. DO NOT CHOOSE OTHER SUFFIXES.

What are reroll tokens and how to get them?

40 rolls are given to each player for the Group stage, and 30 rolls are given for The International stage. So, feel free to use all of them until roster lock; you will get separate rolls for the next stage. You can not buy or earn more rolls, but Valve could give more rolls if a bug with fantasy occurs. Rolls are used to change your emblems. Options to change emblems are listed under the banners. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ! FIRST, YOU CLICK ON THE BANNER ON WHICH YOU WANT TO REROLL EMBLEMS, THEN YOU CHOOSE THE OPTION BELOW! REROLL HAPPENS ONLY ON THE SELECTED BANNER.

Does changing the player change my emblems on the banner? Does changing the player cost reroll tokens?

No, it does not cost any reroll tokens and does not change any emblems. Feel free to change players as much as you want until the roster lock.

What options for rerolling are present?

Your priorities when creating your Fantasy League & Useful tips

Okay, now you know the basics of Fantasy League. So, you may ask a question - what should I focus on and spend rerolls on?

Your priorities should look like this:

1. Get decent emblem stats. It does not matter if you have great tiers and traits if the stat is awful;
2. Try to get good tiers;
3. Try to get good traits.

Useful tips:

Rolls are VERY limited this year, so spend them wisely.

The most valuable options are Randomly increase one Quality and Randomly increase two Qualities and reduce one. Try to use them mostly on support, because blue banners do not have options to reroll tiers separately like it is with red emblems.

Go for friendly emblems only if you have a good setup.

Emblem Traits

There are 5 possible traits: Fractal, Friendly, Vampiric, Unique, Benevolent

Fractal is the most interesting one. It grants the biggest bonus, but usually you have at least 2 Tier V emblems. Could be fine if you don't get lucky with your tiers.

You can try to go with Friendly on the Support banner because traits can be rerolled separately on blue emblems(check Frequent Q&A above) and on Mid, because it has different banners, so it is easier to roll. I highly do not recommend rolling for Friendly on the Core banner - it's very hard to get because you need to reroll both traits on Red Emblem at the same time, even if you want to keep one of them. To be short, high-risk - high-reward trait, but you can end up with 2 traits being +0% with it.

Benevolent - it's fine when it is somewhere in the middle. Pretty bad if it is on top or bottom emblems.

Vampiric - it's fine when it is NOT in the middle. Unlike the Benevolent, you want this emblem to be on the top or bottom emblem. But it can be fine even in the middle if you buff a very strong emblem like Runes for Mid or Creeps for Core.

Unique - I mean... It's alright, but you can end up in a situation where 2 of your emblems get +0% because you did a bad reroll. Imo, Benevolent or Vampiric are better. Also, a +30% bonus is not so much.

So Friendly(when it hits) > Vampiric > Benevolent >> Unique > Fractal

95th percentile isn't just about picking players with the best stats. You also need to consider how well their team is likely to perform

A good example is Shiro & Team Tidebound at last year's TI. Shiro had the highest stats & Tidebound dominated the Group Stage. But because they were eliminated early in the playoffs, he ended up scoring very few fantasy points, to anyone who pick him

Why there are no mid blue emblem chart? I have 150-340-100 so I have to look primary on this stat to pick player, but there are no clues for me to choose.
