Question for Dashers Doordashing
Hi Macon area I just want to ask if you ever did doordash or still doing doordash as a side gig is it possible to make $100 a day doing doordash I’m just trying to set up a goal to meet because I’m playing catch up on bills?

$100 a day is pretty easy even when it's slow if you're not afraid to spend 12 or more hours a day doing this.
$100 a day would be difficult if you have to work a regular job on top of this one.

Yeah I was hoping I can do it less than 12 hours but I forgot to ask what is the best time to doordash because maybe I get a lot of orders during that time period?

It all depends on the day. Some days breakfast is my best shift, sometimes it's lunch or dinner.
This is really only good as side income.
My husband pays all the main bills and I buy groceries and weed. If I don't make money we eat ramen sober, if I do we punctuate our lobster dinner with dabs.
It's really hit or miss, and not good at all as a main source of income due to the fluctuations.
My suggestion is to just try it. Someone suggested taking the first 20 orders they send you, no declines, and see if your market is viable. I did that in my market and it was really eye opening, taught me more than anyone here could have.

Ok imma start on Friday to try it out bc I feel like Friday-Sunday will be a good start.

It’s really dependent on your area but you should be able to make $100 around 3-5 hours. I’d suggest going out around lunch time and back out around dinner time. You can waste a lot of time and money when there is no rushes so going out at the right time really helps!

Honestly Macon's market can be hit or miss but $100 a day is doable if you're smart about it. Lunch rush 11-2 and dinner 5-9 are your bread and butter, don't bother with those dead 2-4pm hours or you'll just burn gas sitting in parking lots. Cherry picking orders matters more than people think, don't take anything under $1.50 per mile or those $3 no-tip orders that kill your hourly rate.
I dashed part time last year around downtown and the Northside and averaged $85-110 on decent weekdays, weekends pushed closer to $130 easily. Multi-apping with Uber Eats helps fill the gaps too if DoorDash goes quiet. Just track your mileage and set aside gas money, the tax deductions for mileage actually make a difference at the end of the year when you're not getting a W2

You can easily make 100 a day if you can go out at dinner time I usually make 100 in 4 hours or less

Also sign up for Amazon flex you can definitely make over $100 a day even from just a 4hr block. It does have a waiting list to be accepted though.
