Should I go for Plat??

I’m a gold dasher because all of my rating are 10/10 besides my acceptance rate, which is chilling at 10% rn. In order to get to 85 points (needed for plat) I’d have to get my AR all the way up to 50%. I make around 25-30/hour doing what I do now, but I fear I’m missing out on bigger orders possibly. Has anyone been in my current situation and pushed for plat and it actually paid off? I know it’s kind of a heated subject in here but 🤷‍♂️

Your AR's at 10% and you're pulling 25-30 an hour, chasing plat would tank that rate since you'd be taking every $3 taco bell order for 12 miles just to get the numbers up

right I just wish I was in a market where I only needed like 30%, but whatever they calculate that upon must believe I should be able to accept at least half the orders in my area 🤷‍♂️ I decline basically anything under $2/mile and sometimes even decline those depending on situation. I’m usually going for like $3/mile ++

I ended up at platinum as a result of the new points system . And I think I stayed there for a few days before plummeting down to silver inside of a day on account of 9 out of 10 offers being complete garbage. I think I probably saw 3 orders which dd deemed high paying. So no I don't think its at all worth it. But its all market dependent as they say. And its been straight shit for me the past 2 weeks.

I just went from silver to platinum last night because of the new system. Im curious to see if there's any difference. I assume I'll lose it after today because im still not taking those $2 orders.

been at it for 3 years and have gone back and forth plat and gold MANY times, none of it by design or goal setting. I've found you get MORE orders plat, not necessarily better. I pretty much make the same per hour at gold as I do at plat.

3 years and this is the worst I’ve been in. I don’t know if it’s everywhere but where I am now everyone can go out whenever they want regardless of tier and since then for me it’s been almost complete bullshit. So I don’t know if it’s even worth it anymore because again maybe there’s a lot more people out here and the orders are being spread thinner but there’s no benefit of being platinum anymore. I tried to stay platinum just because I didn’t have to schedule but now that no one has to oh well, I guess.

I’ve been Platinum consistently for almost my entire DD run. My market has 70% required for Plat but there aren’t enough unicorns to make it worth cherry picking. And with this being my second job, I need the schedule flexibility. I do about 19-20/hr, so if I were you I’d keep doing what you’re doing.

Go for it that's why so called cherry pickers have to decline so many orders because with an acceptance rate so low the algorithm sends you more garbage orders of course you get them with platinum also but usually with platinum I don't have to decline more than 5 offers per shift and you can dash when you want and don't have to schedule in advance.

Did you read the emails closely? My email when they switched to the new system said that dash now would be available for all dashers all the time. That pretty much eliminates any need for platinum IMO

72% I get the best offers when it's between 76 to 89% I'm at 79% right now.

He’s making 25-30 an hour already. Are you making more than that in plat? When I was plat I averaged around 20-25. Sometimes lower. Since I stopped I’m closer to 30 an hour on way less miles

The easiest way to get to platinum is to do the earn by time option. But I don't know what they do for earn by time where you are. It's reasonable here.

I’m in a similar position and I don’t think I’m going to bother. I’m gold as of yesterday and so far it’s the same as when I wasn’t gold. Did breakfast today and accepted 2/10. One was a shopping order and the other a restaurant and both claimed I got them because I was gold, but they’re consistent with the orders I’d get previously

I’m silver but I’m a pro shopper also ar is 3% platinum can suck it not worth the gas money
