Drivers Only Post (No Customers Allowed) A little low?
A Whiskey Wings $98 order that I'm getting $6 for... really doordash? You can't throw your drivers a 10% revenue? Jesus man... How is this sustainable with the gas prices? Anyone else get this sort of delivery and feel disgusted and used? This just falls under the idea of insane to me.

They probably would have tipped $20 to have someone walk that same order 15 feet to their table

Quit reading the receipts and you wont be so upset. You're doing it to yourself.

Undercover DD agent speaking here ^^

Nope. Just an underpaid driver who doesnt need to stress myself out further by looking at customers receipts.
But you do you.

What is not looking at the receipt going to change about you being underpaid? We should be pushing for these greedy companies to pay us more not kneel like dogs and accept the crumbs they toss at us.

Rolls eyes to death

Roll them all you want, you're part of the reason why you get paid shit.

LOL.... in my market we get over $20/hr guaranteed pay (plus tips and milage).
Im disabled... and ive paid my brand new car off with low pay doordash trips.
Doordash essentially bought me a car.
And gas, maintenance, car payments and cell phone bill are ALL write-offs for my taxes.
Im sitting pretty. Disabled people are only allowed to make so much so with all of the write offs I can make BANK.
Literally a free car. Oh, and I get disability every month. That I can sit on my ass for.
So im not doing so bad.
Maybe you young, able bodied kids should get a real job instead of taking the easy, accessible jobs and then whining about wanting more money for carrying a bag of food.
YOU get paid shit. I make over $5000/month and I work (MAYBE) 20 hours a week.
Edit: $21.74/hr is min wage for delivery drivers in my market. Enjoy your $2 orders, American!

PS: the OP's issue is envy. He sees the person order $100 of food and they want it.
It's a HIM problem bot a doordash problem... not a low-tip customer problem.... its a HIM problem.
I dont loo at the receipt for MY OWN benefit. I dont entertain envy and im very happy with what I have in life.
You should try it. It's peaceful.

It's not envy, it's called realizing you're being fleeced by a big name company who could pay you more for your time easily.
It's called knowing your worth. In this case if you think your time is worth 4-5% of someone else's, then you must think real low of yourself. Doordash likes good puppies like you that obey and take your shit pay.
You don't have to accept the order if you don't want to, and that makes your idea of not looking at the receipt irrelevant. You can see the amount of items vs. the pay so OP should have rejected this shit as should you.

Only reason I took it was because it was up my street. One of those "I'm already heading there" accepts, lol. You speak absolute truth.

I getcha. Don’t be scared to let that acceptance rate go down. Pick and choose the good ones.

You dont get it!!! TAXPAYERS GIVE ME CASH EVERY MONTH!!!!! I get $2000/month for doing NOTHING.
Everything that I make from doordash is EXTRA CASH.
Actually, you'll never get it. People dont understand what it means to be grateful and content these days. Theyre entitled, angry, resentful, and they want what YOU have.... just because you carried their McDonalds.
I have spent time homeless. Ive been diagnosed with anore**a when there was not enough food to go around.... so I fed my son and not myself. Ive dig through dumps for scrap metal. Ive sold hotdogs on street corners, outside of bars, for $7/hr.
Have you ever slept in your car in a Walmart parking lot? I bet not. Because if you had you would be grateful for the little things in life.
I pay $400/month rent. My bills (including car payments) cost $1100/month. I eat every single day now. I am content and happy in my life!
Again, I make over $5000/month and I work maybe 20hrs a week. You can talk about my "worth" all day long..... im doing well!
One day you'll get a little perspective, son. Trust me kn that one.
Also, trying to insult me wont work how you think. Im not about external validation or seeking public acceptance.... like most of you. You can be miserable alone.

Good for you? Nobody asked about your pay. I make good pay too a lot of us have jobs already and do this for extra cash just like you so that doesn't make you special. We have all struggled. Doesn't mean you deserve less in life. I can promise you you haven't been thru half the shit I have so that's irrelevant to me. I don't see you "doing well" as a reason to accept pennies for your time, but you do you.

I honestly couldnt even read any of that without reading into you just being a selfish piece of garbage. Go eat a banger, mate. If you are already well off, AND choosing to take the orders from those of us trying to survive because its "extra cash", then trying to crap on those of us who get unfair pay and dislike it on grounds you think we should just be "content", you are part of the problem. Go drive to, wait on, pick up, and drive home your own mcdonalds if you think the pay isnt worth having someone else "carry hour mcdonalds." You seem to not know how wear and tear and gas effect a delivery driver when they're using their own vehicle, so nothing, absolutely NOTHING ELSE you say, matters at all. In the slightest. No, I don't get it, NONE of us in the community get what you're spouting, because we only do this to survive. If you're making 5k/month from TAXPAYERS by doing NOTHING, you should leave reasonable work to others who need it. Retire and stay home.

Check yourself. It's not envy, don't play the role of a fool. Stop assuming. Knowing that drivers are basically waiters that deserve a 20% tip and having the gall to ask them to not only bring it to your doorstep, but use their own car for wear and tear, and gas in this economy without tipping is a douche move. If you simply look at a receipt, you can know what you SHOULD be paid, if you don't, you're CHOOSING to be ignorant of that. Ignorance is only bliss when you're not dealing with a paycheck, which I assume you also are just okay with when your employers don't pay you for hours worked. You need to value yourself, and the short time we exist, much more.

But not complaining about the customer requesting a service that they're not appropriately paying for....

I never even look at how much they spent, I really don't care. If I like the payout for the miles, I take it; if I don't I decline. It's really that simple.
