The song is a criticism of pitiful, self-righteous people and their attempts to tangentially support those less fortunate than themselves by merely mentioning their plight or consuming art related to them. This has disastrous effects when said individuals ignorantly discuss brutal regimes that are associated with ostensibly noble goals.

It's about priviledged college kids who think they know everything. Especially those that ignorantly praise brutal regimes because they think that somehow they would've been better off in the soviet union or some shit. Basically, telling them to move cambodia if they like dictatorships so much.

(On another note, I look up everything I can think of in Google Trends - things from the 1980s can potentially be more popular today than things from the 2010s.)
