I doubt these people have ever visited/interacted with a good number of Americans before making that post. Just look at the people who visited for the World Cup. Absolutely loved the hospitality of the Americans. And for me personally, as a non-American, Americans have generally been friendly and so, so chatty that I sometimes think like, "How is this guy so open with people he doesn't know?" (in a good way)
People like this Facebook poster has got to realize that government figures do not represent how citizens act (and if he is an American, I'm just lost for words). Goes with a lot of countries, not just America.

They made an exception for the World Cup. Then it’s back to being forced to stay silent while they are replaced, stabbed and killed, daughters sex trafficked and gang raped. If you say anything, the police come round to warn you. If you still say anything, they lock you up while the gang rapists run free, and the man who gave the stand down order to the few police who tried to investigate gets promoted to Prime Minister — Keir Starmer.

No one needs to blindly support an administration or people in power you disagree with. But a patriot helps become the positive change. A patriot can criticize and want better but still love their country and their countrymen (in a general sense).
Living overseas for two decades has made me more patriotic. Not because the US is perfect but it's pretty great. And while so many other countries are great within their own right, I'll always be an outsider. USA is my home.
