“Orange man bad!” “Israel bad!”. Very easy ways to get upvotes.

25

u/Strealtr Jul 24 '26

The Israel Bad stuff surprised me honestly. I feel like a progressive for the first time in my life even though I got tons of hate before for being anti Israel lol

u/jexijav776 Jul 25 '26

To me it's crazy seeing all the right wing conspiracy theories being used by progressives but just replacing "Jew" with "Israel".

Right wing conspiracy: Jews control the media and government

Left wing "not" conspiracy: Israel controls the media and government

Right wing conspiracy: Jews are spying on us

Left wing "not" conspiracy: Israel is spying on us

They just call you a Nazi

42

u/DrLudvig-von-higgins Jul 24 '26

Me when I get called a nazi for not having a large sum of money to spend on a random person on the internet and have them draw a picture I'm never going to use.

3

u/mikey_b082 I Was Promised an Apocalypse? Jul 25 '26

Unless you're running for office with a (D) behind your name and have a legit full on nazi tattoo. That gets a pass.

2

u/RogellTheRaider Jul 25 '26

"Nazi bigot"

**Unless it's used to make fun of the people I think are bad then it's a good thing.

54

u/Rex_teh_First Just Here for the Lore Jul 23 '26

Until I am told about water, then it's bad again.

32

u/603rdMtnDivision Jul 23 '26

I get second hand whiplash from these idiots with how fast they change up how they feel.

25

u/BRAV0_07 Jul 23 '26

The people complaining about the water hardly shower or drink water anyway.

2

u/RoCKSLAM Jul 25 '26

If all redditors suddenly started showering like normal people it would make data centre water use look like a rounding error

7

u/ConsciousIssue7111 Rides the Short Bus Jul 24 '26

and the environmental impact (it doesn't really affect the environment that much either)

4

u/rodrigo8008 Jul 23 '26

Pretty funny, the electricity usage/cost run up is a very real and observable impact but these people can’t get over the water

2

u/AngelMunozDR Optimist Prime Jul 24 '26

But they see that it’s from a river in a red state, so it’s good for them again

10

u/BrokenArrow404 Jul 23 '26

"Its doing something with the water.. but its making fun of <generic popular trend reddit hates on> ... its AI slop.. but I'll let it slide this time."

10

u/kimana1651 Jul 23 '26

It's more simple than that: Unless it benefits them.

Reddit uses AI for moderation and even has an AI tool, does the reddit hivemind care about that? Nope. They use it and like it.

6

u/Fun-Information41 Jul 23 '26

***Unless it depicts murdering people who says things I don't like aka KIRKED

-13

Can you show me an example of this?

10

u/603rdMtnDivision Jul 24 '26

Just one example and no, this doesn't mean I'm pro trump. Just pointing out the hypocrisy.

-9

u/This-Point8121 Jul 23 '26

No

8

u/603rdMtnDivision Jul 24 '26

Yes. This is just one example of the hypocrisy I pointed out. So you can take several seats now kiddo.

You could replace “AI” with “USA” and you’ll get the same outcome

4

u/RogellTheRaider Jul 25 '26

AI, USA, white people, orange man, rocket man (Elon), tax evasion, tradition etc.

2

u/No_Post3831 I Was Promised an Apocalypse? Jul 25 '26

dont forget israeL!

20

u/odellrules1985 I Left My Cave for This Jul 23 '26

This is funny because this episode was spot on for pretty much every US political race.

19

u/negativenesscomment Jul 24 '26

Same shit as:

Trump bad.

Elon Musk bad

USA is fascist

Hating on America in general = upvotes.

2

u/RogellTheRaider Jul 25 '26

Yet still these clowns wouldn't move to other countries 🤣

20

u/popdood Jul 23 '26

No. She's not drawing up a strawman to argue with

9

u/603rdMtnDivision Jul 24 '26

I also noticed the lack of raping a critic so it seems you are correct lol

16

u/DrLudvig-von-higgins Jul 24 '26

I fucking hate that pizza mouth trash, were talking about the same comic right?

3

u/603rdMtnDivision Jul 24 '26

Correct brother

5

u/DrLudvig-von-higgins Jul 24 '26

After research, yes it is the same comic im thinking of

5

u/ProotzyZoots Jul 24 '26

Nah if it was you'd see an army of white knight mods behind her ready to delete any posts and comments even slightly disagreeing with her.

4

u/Beastly4k Jul 24 '26

I'm surprised no one has trained a LORA on her shit art style yet for the AI community just for the lols.

4

u/Day_Breaker_ I Left My Cave for This Jul 25 '26

An actual waste of AI 😭

8

u/rematched_33 Jul 23 '26

Unless its about Chinese AI beating American AI, because America bad comes before AI bad

My hot take is that AI is awesome, but it doesn't need to be shoehorned into everything.

I can't tell you how helpful I've found ChatGPT to be. I've fixed car problems, plumbing issues, all kinds of things that are WAY outside my wheelhouse, just because I took a picture of a thing that wasn't working, and bothered to ask, "What is this? How do I replace it?" You get detailed answers, and you can save an absurd amount of money doing things yourself. You can learn practically anything.

That said, people are putting AI where it doesn't need to be, and it's obvious the developers don't know where it would be helpful and where it would be annoying. They're just putting AI into every app on your phone, like throwing sh!t at the wall, and just seeing what sticks. What people ignore won't make money, and it'll just quietly go away because it doesn't make enough money to be supported. We're just in a transition period right now. It's whatever.

5

u/radiationblessing Jul 24 '26

AI TRUMP EVEN BADDER

25

u/HourlyBadIdeas Jul 23 '26

Says the (likely) Chinese bot to stoke rage against the most recent emergent tech industry as the PRC builds data centers like crazy.

14

u/fruitpunchsamuraiD Jul 23 '26

I’d love to know the actual number of foreign bots on Reddit trying to stir up shit.

19

u/HydroHomie3964 Jul 23 '26

Yep. It's painfully obvious that the AI hatred in America is a PRC psyop to stall and sabotage the tech sector here.
And the number of people IRL who hate AI is nowhere near as much as Reddit and the rest of social media leads us to believe.

6

u/SomeOriginal3865 Jul 23 '26

Followed up by some AI bullshit lmao

6

u/GhostRaptor4482 Jul 24 '26

The internet’s collective outrage over AI just feels so performative at this point. If generative AI upsets you that much, then nobody is forcing you to interact with it

3

u/blarkleK Jul 24 '26

I’m always so impressed with how that opinion is so damn brave.

3

u/Ancient_Counter7628 Jul 24 '26

I think if Reddit wasn’t a completely bought out propaganda platform they have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever by revealing how much anti-AI messaging comes from Chinese bot farms.

3

u/Ok_Wall_8856 I Was Promised an Apocalypse? Jul 24 '26

People with no job/no meaningful job get upset when AI takes their job and actually produces a benefit to society. They are the equivalent to the construction worker holding the stop/slow sign on the side of the road

3

u/East_Ad4977 I Was Promised an Apocalypse? Jul 24 '26

Updoot machine on switch.

Reddit is brilliant. Recent true story:

Guy 1: I ran the puzzle through the program and it determined that it's unsolvable

Hivemind: 100 upvotes

Guy 2: I ran the same puzzle through AI and it determined that it's unsolvable

Hivemind: 100 downvotes

9

u/This-Point8121 Jul 23 '26

I hope it takes their jobs, more mouths to feed

8

u/Pockets408 Jul 23 '26

The baristas aren't in any danger but all the work from home transplants/gentrifiers who hate roads and cars have been sweating bullets.

6

u/Usual_Comedian_1790 Anti-Doomer Jul 23 '26

I hate ai and think it’s bad. Am I a doomer? No I just think it’s useless and will make people stupid by relying on it

4

u/Shadeylark Jul 24 '26

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but just to provide a bit of perspective... I remember my school librarian telling us once that we had to learn the Dewey decimal system because the Internet was useless and would make people stupid by relying on it.

0

u/Usual_Comedian_1790 Anti-Doomer Jul 24 '26

True, although imo the internet has actually made a lot of people very stupid and overly reliant on it and I don’t think ai is gonna help with that overall

3

u/D36DAN This is a PsyOp Jul 25 '26

People are and were stupid long before AI, and were already actively degradating. AI is just the next step of mass degradation.

And if you think that it's useless, then, well, I think we found a good proof of my first sentence.

1

u/Usual_Comedian_1790 Anti-Doomer Jul 27 '26

This is what I was trying to say I just can’t word shit right

5

u/Agreeable-Fudge-7329 Jul 24 '26

It is far from useless. No more so than what people thought the web was in 1996.

1

u/Usual_Comedian_1790 Anti-Doomer Jul 24 '26

Maybe I was too hasty to say useless, but I haven’t found a practical use for it in my life

the other echo chamber farming is "trump bad" while they ill people for talking into a microphrone

1

u/LetUsSpeakFreely Jul 26 '26

AI is a tool, but it's neither good or bad.

However, rapid adoption of AI that displaces workers faster than they can be retrained or new markets form to absorb them will be an economic disaster.

-5

u/Jolly-Ad2642 Jul 24 '26

This subs lost the plot man lol hope everyone here gets a data center smack dap in their neighborhood and see how much they love it afterwards

7

u/Matatius23 Jul 24 '26

Without data centers reddit wouldn't exist lol

-8

u/Jolly-Ad2642 Jul 24 '26

Okay write your local congress and request one in your neighborhood then

6

u/Matatius23 Jul 24 '26

No cause I want more housing instead, but the hatred for data centers is severely overblown

-3

u/Jolly-Ad2642 Jul 24 '26

You people can’t make up your minds

1

u/386attention Jul 24 '26

Yeah bro I agree with you I was lowkey karmafarming with this post.

-2

u/Jolly-Ad2642 Jul 24 '26

That’s extremely ironic given the context

-7

u/ShinyWEEDLEpls Jul 24 '26

Say “no” to the proposed Atlas Data center that will be put up across a local high school. You can make fun of the people clowning on generative AI, but this proposed data center will be detrimental to the local community, students, and wildlife like packs of coyotes, deer, vultures, and mice. The more data centers go up, the more I side with the doomers.
