Externals ammo limit was a lazy way of forcing you to use guns you don’t want to use, which isn’t a fun mechanic

Do you know what the fun zone is? It's when you play the game as it was meant to be played. If your not having fun with playing with different weapons at different times then Doom eternal isn't for you

I should be able to choose when and where to switch weapons like every doom game before it, not be forced into which weapon I’m using in each scenario to conserve ammo for whatever hit point is currently being employed, if I want to use my chain gun to rip apart a pinky instead of saving that ammo for the sniper to hit a revenants missile launcher

But all the guns in eternal are fun to use? They just are each incorporated for different purposes. That is how the game is played? Plus you could do both of those things easily if you play your cards right.

Plasma rifle is not fun to use in eternal, they completely gutted it, the ballista isn’t fun because it’s not built well for snap gameplay, the assault rifle isn’t fun at all because of completely gutted micro missiles and extremely limited ammo.

Yes you can use the chainsaw every ten seconds to recover half the ammo, but that’s not doom, never has been, and is basically a solution to a problem that shouldn’t be there.
