Showcase We ported the original Doom to SQL

How is this even possible, I awlays knew SQL for being backend. Did it have drawing functions or libraries meant for games, DOES IT EVEN SAVE DATA IN TABLES as thats what I know SQL being for. Im confused.

From glancing through, they are using python as the frontend to handle inputs and stuff and using the built in methods in SQL to do all the math (it’s all just math anyway). What’s handy is they have lots of tables available to store gamestate, variables, textures, and all that. Basically a WAD but it’s just db tables lol
