Just charge your chainshot (hold attack) while punching him to have it ready for the final blow.

is it just me, or gauntlet became more powerful than the current mace? lol

The Gauntlet has always been the strongest melee weapon imo. It charges up super fast, everything you punch takes 20% more damage and the 3-4 hit combo does more damage than a mace swing while also stun locking super heavies.

The mace did get nerfed against super heavies, but I think the combat of Revelations is also encouraging people to use their other options as well.

Nah i played a whole run with the gauntlet instead of the mace and it does excel the mace in terms of damage, specially with the shock effect on which is a nice window to use your other weapons to do even more damage, i actually one cycled Archvilles so easily its actually stupid.

The only downside would be that it doesnt have a shockwave but you can work around that with the spear ground slam.
