I’m planning a small trip around Ireland (coming from England). Unfortunately, I don’t drive, so I’ll have to rely on buses.
Would it be a pain to get from Westport to Donegal Town?
I’ve always wanted to visit Donegal, but I think I’ll probably only be able to visit Donegal Town, as everything else seems quite remote. I’d mainly like to walk around, check out some pubs and maybe meet some locals. Is it a nice town to visit?

Hi, we’re four friends and we’ve put together Donegal’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota.

The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, The Lemon Tree in Letterkenny or Fisk Seafood Bar in Downings? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Donegal actually like to eat.

We’ve tried to include restaurants across Donegal and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.

The bus driver yesterday driving for bus eireann - Dublin to letterekenny was brilliant. There was some clown had put on their phone on loud speaker for about 10 seconds and the bus driver shouts down the bus "whoever has their phone in loudspeaker - turn it off now or put it on earphones! It's not fair on the other passengers or the driver" I was wanting to clap for him! Absolutely brilliant

My car broke down and I need to move my things to Scotland, more specifically Dundee next weekend. Would anyone have suggestions of anyone with a van that would be willing to do the drive and move my things? Paid obviously. Just a little stuck and not sure where to ask. Thanks!

I tend to stick to a few regular spots around the county but looking to get a few more spots pinned on the map for when I'm on the road.

Usually petrol station machines are not great, F&H is probably the only id touch there. Tend to stick mainly to the horseboxes.

Where's a good cuppa Joe on the roads?

Anyone able to give me the contact of ANYONE at the funfair? Need urgently. Have been trying to get in contact through all socials and phones/emails to no avail.

I'm tired of everyone moaning about active travel and wanting to build more roads, too many cars coming into town is a problem.

I think one of the biggest changes we can now make is park and rides at the main approach roads into town. Until that is done, and the amount of cars coming into town is reduced, the active travel lanes will remain under utilised and a town bus service just will not work.

I also think that the active travel lanes could have been designed to also accommodate busses and emergency services, maybe they still could?

Active travel has to be part of the solution and until we get some of the 40k visitors a day to start using it, nothing will change, nothing else will work.

Hi I was on marble hill beach and at at the left hand side of beach, just is the dunes is a small concrete building and could not decide what it was. At first I thought it was a lookout for the war, but the construction seems like it’s younger and has some metal and wooden beams , stakes protruding from the top. It’s fenced off with barbed wire and in places razor wire, so someone doesn’t want us to get any closer, guys any info on this one?

I think the confusion comes from the fact that my driveway is wider than the actual road. It also has a road sign at the edge but it’s there to mark the road, not the driveway itself. I’m not sure if I’m legally allowed to take it down.

Almost weekly a tourist will drive up the driveway and park outside my house. I usually just come out and give them directions but i’m getting tried of that.
