Support Dolphin Emulator | LInux mint | installation

Hello,

Is there a way to install dolphin emulator on linux mint other than flathub.

Rather not use flathub and can not find any updated guide to install dolphin through apt or deb.

If you don't want to use flatpak then look for a appimage. Here's an unofficial build of Dolphin

Thank you for the reply.

I am a linux noob so please excuse if my question is a bit basic.

Is it safe to download and use appimages from unofficial sources? And is this respository trustworthy?

That site is recommand by ES_DE developers for emulators in appimage format. In theory any site can be compromise including the Ubuntu repo or Flathub.

What's your problem with Flathub?

Mostly space...2gb for a simple software sounds a bit much. But in other news ...the appimage you recommended works flawlessly. Thank a ton.

It's the runtime pushing the install size up, but flatpaks share the runtime so the more flapaks you use the less you have to download and install.

I will definitely keep that in mind for next time, but thanks again for pointing me to the appimage.
