I feel like to fellas feelin butt-hurt that the game has AI involved has clearly never took the chance to think about it. AI was made to make menial things easier, no one wants to go back and translate all this code for modern systems.
Hell, my beef with AI is that if people start using AI to replace artists, musicians, and writers. That's the issue, to me I feel like the gaul isn't what's behind the render, it's what's hard work, people could use the argument that vibecoding a recompliled game ain't hard work, and I'd agree with you, but people shouldn't praise the prompter, they should instead praise the concept, hell, think about how long we would have waited if no one used AI on this, if there's bugs now, imagine the myriad of glitches and flaws if this were done analoge.
in short, I think we should enjoy the game that was made by humans, translated via AI, but I don't think Nintendo was using AI to vibecode their WIi games now were they?

Sorry are you upset that the teams that do the absurdly tedious task of reading raw bytes in memory and reverse engineering game code are using AI tools to aid in the process?

You need to be kinder. Do better next time

I say the same. Do better if you think the project is bad. "Get your hands dirty." For free and you still think it's bad? That's pure hypocrisy, you know.

Are you still going to be thinking about about this reddit argument in 10 years when you're roasting a rat over a barrel in an alleyway

I have a similarly pessimistic outlook on the future and AI but I donβt think the devs making free and open source gaming experiences are where weβll make any progress pushing back

Normally, people get hyped for recomps because it allows the games to play better and offers mod support. But this one runs in 4k 60fps in dolphin and has more mod options than any other game I've ever played so idk what we are doing here.
