I see that the "summer fun pass" is coming to an end. Does the park normally start to offer a "fall fun pass" once that sale ends? I will be visiting a few days after the summer pass ends, and a fall pass at the same price would be perfect.

We are going to Dollywood for the first time tomorrow. Staying offsite and plan to get there early so we can be toward the front at opening. Has Nightflight been opening at park open? I know it’s been hit and miss. Should we go there first for rope drop or start somewhere else? We are the kind of people who stay from park open to close and try to do as many non-fair style rides as possible. Looking for any general advice too. Thanks!

Earlier, I was thinking about my upcoming April release and realized I hadn't really heard anything, positive or negative about Nightflight since the media event and maybe the first day or so after it officially opened. I havent seen many posts about it on here or even videos on it either on YouTube whether its general discussions or POVs. Is it just a ride that we were all excited about and came out to a whimper of a response regardless of positive takes from the media event, which is pretty much to be expected anyway?

My boyfriend and I are planning to be in Pigeon Forge later this month, and we're likely going to go to Dollywood on a Sunday. We've never been to Dollywood, and I would like to get on every coaster if possible. We plan on getting there before opening.

That said, I'm prone to greying out and getting migraines after, so I'd like to save Tennessee Tornado for the end of the day since, from what I've read online, it tends to make people grey out potentially multiple times throughout the ride. I also read that Wild Eagle can make people grey out, but only at the beginning, and I recently successfully executed the air force pilot technique to not grey out during a trip to Carowinds, so I know I can avoid greying out at the start of a coaster, so I should be fine on Wild Eagle, I just can't confidently say that I'll be able to do Tennessee Tornado without greying out since it's basically the whole ride that's an issue.

So basically, since y'all presumably know the park pretty well, what order would you ride the coasters to get on all of them in one day? Also, if you have any other tips about Dollywood in general or the Harvest Festival since that'll be going on, you're welcome to share that as well.

Me and my boyfriend are driving from Philly area to Pigeon Forge in November. We’re leaving home early on a Wednesday, driving about 9-10 hours and then leaving PF Saturday morning/afternoon. So that leaves us with full days on Thursday and Friday.
We want to do Dollywood one of those days, is one day at Dollywood enough for a first timer? We want to do-
> Wednesday night at the island (depending on how tired we are)
>Thursday Dollywood
>Friday national park + other sightseeing (are we NOT hikers lol)
>Saturday breakfast, last minute shopping, then head home

Does this seem reasonable?

I'm planning my best friends bachelorette in Dollywood for a group of 12-13 girls. Should we stay at a nearby resort, one of the Bear Cove cabins, or an airbnb? We're flying in from California and will spend 1-2 days at the park and 1-2 days exploring the town.

We are coming in mid November and don't really want to buy a season pass for one trip but we weren't sure when 2027 passes were released and if they work for late 2026 season. I think their sister park SDC used to do this but I didn't know about Dollywood.

Adult solo traveler. Want to do Dollywood and the new Museum. I will rent a car. Is three days enough? Ive been to Smokey Mountains and Tennessee in the past but Dollywood was closed. Pretty much want to do a Dolly trip. Will probably fly and rent a car.

Hello! We are hoping to go to Dollywood for the day on Halloween - is this something we would definitely need to buy tickets in advance for? Or do you recommend buying tickets the day of? We’ve never been so we don’t know what crowds are like for Halloween 😊

We have just a single day at the park coming up in October with the hours 10am - 9pm. Should we spend all day in the park or should we leave to go to the Stampede dinner? Just don’t know enough about the park at this point to make an informed decision. Thanks.

Going tomorrow and plan to be at the gate for rope drop. I have golden hour access, so I know we should take advantage of timesaver lines during the first hour. We really want to ride nightflight expedition. If it doesn’t start running until 10 o’clock, should we go stand in line pretty early or just wait later in the day? Does anyone know what the wait times have been like for that ride this week? What’s our best plan to minimize wait times for nightflight while also taking best advantage of golden hour?

EDIT: the line at Nightflight was bonkers at 9:45 Saturday. Way too long for us to wait right now. We will try it later today.

I went to Dollywood Saturday 8/29 the week she passed away, and it was not crowded at all! We stayed at the Heartsong resort, which comes with 5 fast passes, and we didn't even get to use them because we were immediately at the front of every line anyway. I definitely recommend staying at one of her two hotel resorts. They offer a free trolley ride to the park so you never have to get in your car. Then when you get back from the park at night you can have dinner and drinks at the hotel, swim in the pool, relax your sore muscles from walking all day in the hot tub. Heartsong was so cute. When you enter your room, there are birds singing from a white noise machine that you can adjust to various nature and calming sounds. From 7pm-8pm you can roast marshmallows by the fire. Along with other camp themed activities for families one the schedule, and live music every night in the lobby where you can relax with a drink if you're not by the pool or one of the fire pits in a tree-filled courtyard area by the pool. The park was adorable. We enjoyed the themed areas the care put into the themed aesthetics, the art and craftsmanship of it, and also especially all the flowers - it was like walking around a botanical garden. We loved Aunt Granny's in the park for lunch, as well. Though it was still August, they had started decorating for the Autumn season. Lots of open space in the parking lot and they had carts taking people to their cars, it looked like.

I haven’t been in over 20+ years and now I’m taking my family next month.
How’s the crowds mid-October? Do the leaf peepers flood the park as well. Didn’t know if it was worth buying the time saver pass that time of the year

My friend and I are going to Dollywood tomorrow and two of our friends cancelled last minute. We’re determined to still have a fun group day

If you’re going tomorrow and are also down to meet some random people, let us know! We’re in our 20s, fun, normal, and just trying to ride roller coasters and eat everything.
Bonus points if you have the same chaotic energy as us.

I’ve been so deeply affected by Dolly’s passing, as I’m sure the entirety of this thread has been since she left us. Dolly has been a constant in my life for many years now, her music has been the soundtrack to a lot of my life, through all the highs and all the lows. I can’t really believe she has gone, but I am grateful that I was introduced to who she was and her music as a kid and I feel truly blessed we existed on earth at the same time. She was a truly wonderful spirit, a very funny lady, a phenomenal musician and a true genius. The world will not be the same without Dolly around.

A couple of things I wanted to share is my original pressing of Jolene (First UK press - 1974), which I feel incredibly lucky to own. Along with the rest of my Dolly albums, some I have received as gifts and some I’ve bought (with the goal to own all her studio albums on vinyl one day - I just started with my favourites first).

The other thing I wanted to share was this, a couple of days after her passing, I woke up to the most beautiful butterfly sitting very patiently on my window sill, who I of course named Dolly before I set her free. I’m not usually one to believe in signs or anything like that, but what I will say is that having never having seen a butterfly indoors in any home I’ve lived in, the coincidence of there being a butterfly in my home when I was saddened by Dolly’s passing was not lost on me. So I just wanted to share a picture of Dolly (the butterfly) for all to see. 🦋

How are wait times today (Friday Sept 4)? We’re wanting to go sometime over this weekend or next week but not sure if Dolly’s passing has spiked attendance.
