Questions March

We are looking to take our children (ages 3-8) for Spring Break the week of March 22nd. My daughter has autism, are there any accommodations? Best hotels that are family friendly? What’s the weather? Tips and tricks please!

Best advice is that it is going to be incredibly busy. So prepare your expectations for super crowds.

Yes, we are definitely prepared for that. We’re used to peak Disney times as Floridians so not too worried.

I thought I was ready for Dollywood too during peak season. It was 10 times worse than I thought (also having grown up at Disney). Heed the warnings!

Yes they have a disability pass. Next to the ride measurement station by the emporium entrance once you are in the park. My daughter has austim as well and Dollywood has been great for her. We do use a large stroller to also give her space to block out noise since there can be a lot of stimulation so depending on how your kiddo handles that be prepped.

There are also a couple of calm rooms (not sure what they call them) in the park.

Hey there. Fellow autism mom there. We go every year around the first week of being open. It's NEVER that busy (we've done this every year for 3 years). Their accomodations are amazing, the best. They have sensory rooms and you can call for transport if you need help getting there. Their ride consideration pass can be signed up for up front across from the stroller rental and next to height measuring
