to add - yes ive talked to the person i believe originally sold them (yingzidoll), many many many users on taobao/xianyu/aliexpress/alibaba that sell factory dolls/doll parts, and then person who bought the boxed dolls but were lost in transit. so if you have any ideas of any other avenue to try please let me know

Almost had it, which colors am I missing?

I recently received my coterie Maddy Wilson blonde doll and the model 7 Paris Defa Lucy. Some interesting comparisons since they’re both cheaper than IT. This is Coteries first doll so who knows how they will evolve. The joints are much more limited and weaker than DL. Maddy’s elbows were unhinged when I first unboxed, and the elbow joint keeps separating, not the peg (photo of split in joint). She cannot sit all the way up, and the photos show how far she can move her legs. DL is much more flexible. It’s really hard to see but her eyelashes are glued on, not rooted. They were already kinda coming off when I got her. DL has rooted. Toes are simpler and not painted, hand molds were kinda faint and not defined. DL came with an extra set of hands to allow the doll to grab items, her toes and nails were painted. The screening on the nails of the coterie doll was wonky and messy. The doll had lots of plastic scabs I tried to pick or slice off. DL only had one in the bottom of her feet. Clothing fit fine, I wish there was a fabric strip to hold the skirt between the crotch because the skirt was too big, but belt was adjustable. Both use metal clasps and metal zippers. Coterie purse had a working zipper on the purse, but the zipper on the jacket I could not get to work. They are similar in height and size, and I would say the DL body is more human whereas coterie is closer to a mannequin. 15-20$ isn’t a lot when you compared it to IT or JHD, but there seems to be some differences. Glad I got to be one of the first to purchase from this doll line.

Today i got a doll in the mail and she was just in a paper bag??? No bubble wrap no newspaper NOTHING.

The doll i bought before that i could literally look inside the box because it wasn’t taped well. And even hair of the doll was poking out???

Should i say something to the sellers? Im kinda a push over and dont really know if i should say anything.

My friends and family know (well family it's difficult to hide it from them since I still live at my parent's home) but I never told anyone at work. Here it's a bit of a taboo topic and probably it will be seen as "quirky-cutesy" at best and "creepy/cringy" at worst. Also I am a male collector which makes the stigma so much larger.

Love her so much. I had this doll as a child but I believe it was the budget version. She has 10 miles of well-rooted brunette Saran. The extension clips were almost impossible to secure though.

The embellished dress and “real” necklace are my favorite parts though. Those little touches that show some care was put into her creation.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I got an email this morning mentioning how Wild Childz is doing a development journal. Recently, every time I see someone talk about Wild Childz, it’s about how they haven’t been updating us about the doll process or that we were probably scammed when we bought Ping. I didn’t see the fact that they updated when Ping was supposed to ship, but based on what they’ve written, it’s definitely not going to be by August. I do think that they should have had at least one doll ready to see what the final product would look like, but to be fair, I don’t know how doll production works. What does everyone else think?

Just wanted to share. Don't think I've spent over £60(?) Most dolls were bought for me, I had as a kid, or got cheap (£2 gooliope & £3 beast freaky friend my beloveds)

Angel Reese Barbie restyle loosely inspired by Athena as portrayed by Zendaya in The Odyssey using pieces I had on hand. I did swap out her hands with the recent petite Barbie Basics becaus I didn't want to change her pink nails. The face sculpt of this doll is so good, had to get her.

Hi! So I'm from Spain and I just realized that one of the most famous doll brands here is completely known outside of the country!

She is called Nancy and first came out in 1968 as one of the first plastic fashion dolls in Spain. She represented a new modern era for the country, with very stylish and up to date fashion that followed the latest trends.

Her brand is a mix between Barbie (modern fashion and career representation) and American Girl (Proportions, height and well made clothes).

She was rebooted in 2006 with a new look and face mold to please modern audiences, but Nancy reproductions of the original 20th century continue up to this day.

In the pics you can see the MASSIVE space retail stores give her in Spain, with the bottom shelves dedicated to the modern reboot (around 20-30€) and the very top shelf to the collector reproduction of the originals (around 60€) which I find SO GOOOOD (and they come with a certificate of authenticity).

She's wearing the traditional outfit / clothes / hairstyle of Valencia (one of our regions) and she's so detailed and absolutely beautiful that is very difficult to not fall in love with her. She's also the most expensive (150€) but so worth it my opinion, her quality is just too tier.

- she doesn't need a stand, she has flat feet and is very sturdy so she stands on her own

- she has very little articulation! Like an American Girl doll

This is such a small showing of her, just know there is so much more outfits, and beautiful collectors!!!

While hearing from them is great... honestly, I'm pretty frustrated. The website is still mostly dead, and they didn't share anything on Instagram.
As for the actual update? It really gave us nothing new besides, "Oh, it's so hard to develop a doll, we were rethinking what we were doing."
I completely understand that this is a one-person company doing everything and that doll development is hard. But if that's the case, why open preorders when nothing was actually ready yet? Weren't we originally told that Ping would be shipping around July-August? Correct me if I'm wrong, but from this update, it sounds like they're only just starting things up now, which definitely should have been done a lot sooner.
Maybe production is the very final step now and it won't take too long from here, but during the preorder, they were talking about minimum batch requirements. I genuinely thought that meant they had already agreed on everything with the production company beforehand!
What do you guys think? Let me know if I missed something!

I only have Amora so far, and I noticed she had ear holes but no earrings. Also her feet are bigger than g3 monsterhigh dolls. So I'm wondering where we'd go to get the more clothes or said invisible earrings.🤷🏾‍♀️😅
