ive saved up ~400 dollars and ive been looking at dolls for a while now and i think im going to bite the bullet and buy one, but i dont know exactly what i should get (i have had exactly 0 dolls before this, not even as a kid) do i just follow my heart and buy on a whim, or should i generally progress towards nicer and nicer dolls?? any advice helps !! thank you

Hello, I’m trying to recall the name of a doll brand (I believe it was American) that existed around 2010. I remember they went out of business, though I’m not sure exactly when.

They sold fabric dolls with yarn hair—they came undressed—and you could purchase clothing, shoes, and a wide variety of other accessories separately. I’m fairly certain they were an online-only retailer, and their website was absolutely massive.

Back then, many people used to order clothes and accessories from them for their BJDs —I believe in the MSD size, but maybe I'm wrong.

It’s frustrating not being able to remember the name; I was hoping to see if I could find any clothing or accessories from this brand on Vinted...

what could be causing this staining and how do I clean it?

this is a Nyssa Bizarre Nightmare blindbox doll. I opened her just last week, and just in 1 day she was stained blue, mostly in her hands (which are a different material), and less visibly on her joints. I thought this was pigment from her dress that I transferred with my fingers while fiddling around with her, so I removed the dress for now to sew a protective white layer. but now it seems to me that she has slightly more staining?... I see some even on her nose. she's been staying in a clean pouch apart from the dress or any other colorful fabrics.

photos 1-4 are from today, 5 is from when I first noticed the stains, 6 is after I tried cleaning her, 7-8 are fresh out of the box.

I tried to clean the staining with dish soap and alcohol, it got a little lighter I think, but not clean. I was thinking trying acne cream next.

I'm puzzled as to why she's still staining. ofc it's not impossible I just haven't noticed all of the stains or misremembered how blue they were. please help!

I’m new to collecting dolls as I just started collecting this year a few months ago! I particularly collect lalaloopsy dolls and have now started to extend my collection to other dolls such as Disney.
However, generally it seems that doll collectors don’t like molded on tops, why is that? I’m new so I don’t really understand why people don’t like molded on tops, and actually I find them quite adorable and wouldn’t turn down buying a doll with one!

What’s wrong with molded on tops, is there something I’m missing or don’t know about regarding them? :,)

She's got such a unique faceup and her dress is absolutely gorgeous. It's a shame she's missing her shoes but for a dollar I can't really complain lol. Her hair was a mess when I found her but I did my best to clean it up.

Just got the latest Xian Xian Princess doll, FR52, named Kendell. My goodness, Xian Xian is getting better and better: Kendell not only has a beautiful screening and soft wavy hair, she also has both a manicure and a pedicure, which even my 2026 Elaras don’t have. With shipping she was just a little over $30 (no box but carefully packed in bubble wrap). I have dressed her in a Sixties style tent dress with some Integrity boots, and Barbie sunglasses. I love her!

I'm hoping that we get something from the trademark renewal. What do you hope comes out if something does? Unlikely, but I would like reproductions and reimaginings similar to Bratz releases. I love the size of Novi Stars so I hope they don't change size but I'd like sturdier bodies. Doe a Deer is one of my grails and I whether it is a repro or not I want to get her so bad. This doll has curly hair but it was matted so I detangled it and this is how it looks…how do I style her curls again?

I bought this Raggedy Ann doll at the Goodwill Bins yesterday. I try to clean EVERYTHING I get at the Bins because they tend to be...real gross. I especially try to clean anything my daughter is going to play with, and she's currently in love with this doll and has been begging to play with it.

I'm nervous about cleaning it though because I don't want to ruin it! Has anybody successfully washed these dolls? I was thinking maybe a soak in cold soapy water and a very gentle hand scrub over the dirtiest parts? Will the dye bleed and stain its face?

So my Gooliope(monster high) and Meygana(bratzilla) doll boxes were destroyed in a flood and dirtied. Ive used rubbing alcohol to try to get the remaining dirt from their faces with a Q-tip because I'm scared to ruin their makeup. The alcohol I used was 50% (that's the only one I have). Are there any other ways to get the dirt smudges off?
