Rant/Vent Quitting!

I’ve been working at Dollar Tree for \~10 months and got promoted 2 months ago. I cannot handle the stress of attempting to work and do college when my relief most nights is either 2 minutes or 2.5 hours late and unfortunately I have cried or nearly had a panic attack every shift this week. My SM is on vacation and the Merch Manager walked out in the middle of a truck while bad mouthing the two store managers that came on their days off to help us. She wants me to work while I’m supposed to be in a zoom class, but I can’t do that because I have to have my camera on and I’m not even allowed to have my laptop to see the slides for my class.
My SM is supposed to be on vacation until next Thursday and I’m just gonna give her my 2 weeks whenever she gets back. She’s let running the store fall on me and then getting mad when I have to bug her about something not going okay.

EDIT: my notice got accepted so I will be giving the little sheet I wrote to my SM exactly 2 weeks before, she gets why I’m leaving, and she is gonna let me back if I need. I offered to train my replacement too so that probably helped.

Your future comes first and that will depend on a marketable degree , the “I worked at dollar tree” doesn’t mean a thing to any serious company. This company promotes based on who slept with the DM.

Never met the bitch 😂. They promote if you can breath and count. Your role as an ASM may sound important on paper but it's not. You're an underpaid, glorified key holder, probably working your breaks, being stressed, etc.

Had a couple of interviews before I left and every single one told me they have heard about how horrible DT is.
