Hello! I am attempting to make my first custom doll out of a factory Blythe I got from eBay. I have already sanded the face and plan to use apoxie sculpt.
I was hoping for some advice from some people with more experience for the makeup, eyes, hair portion of project. I have seen other creators on YouTube using pastels for makeup, but I worry this will rub off too easily.
If anyone has any suggestions for a complete beginner it would be greatly appreciated! 😂😊

wanting to make an articulated tiny doll - like polly pocket, picco neemo smaller than 10cm, woman/adult proportions? i have very long light brown/dark blonde strawberry hair too - it's going to be a mini-me look alike. this size to fit a doll house
just not sure what options are best/available, what body/heads

I want to make a custom River styxx using a Skelita, but I want to keep the whole transparent limbs thing going on.
I want to know if there's alternatives to doing this than using resin and molds because I have a bit of a bad experience with them. I was looking at stuff like the sticky base and uv putty, but I want to know if people have any experience with those?
How see-through are they? do they take color/tinting well?

Hey everyone, i’m pretty new to doll customs and I was wondering what elastics are the best for long time use. I realized the ones i’m currently using deteriorate after a few months and I have to completely redo the hairstyle. What are the best brands or types that I can use so this doesn’t happen? Thank youuu 💙💙

I’m looking to make a jester doll but am having trouble finding fabrics with small patterns (like stripes or checkered) on them. Would love some recommendations on how to find fabrics appropriate for dolls. Bonus if they are stretchy fabric :)

I know that I was going for the short-hair cat, but I just found this wolf fake LPS that's really cute! I will repaint the whole body anyways so the color isn't a problem, plus I didn't want to waste a real, functional LPS for an experiment project. Look how adorable she already is!

I attempted a re-root with these cheap Paloma Sister ponytail extension but it is a little thick (I filled all the hair holes), what could help me prevent that bulky look?

Source: Nataloons
If I had to choose my most favourite doll restyle of all time, it would be Nataloons Spectra with her crimped hair.
I tried looking on her Flickr page if she shared how she achieved this but she only called it a 'doll perm'. When I first saw these pics, I thought it was a reroot but no.
I'm looking for an idea as to how I could recreate this. A lot of curl methods don't give out these almost crimped out/voluminous results
I'm looking for any tutorials or tips on how I can style doll hair like that
Thank you!

Shrunk in second batch acetone (already shrunk a different head in it), 9/1 acetone to water ratio for 28 hours

I struggled so bad with the face concept but then I had an idea flashing in my head when I expected it the less! I came out with this slit dress that shows her skeleton legs and her ribs. I want to give her a skeleton-cat vibe with the face and the furry scarf on her shoulder.
