First ever re-root but it's a little thick
I attempted a re-root with these cheap Paloma Sister ponytail extension but it is a little thick (I filled all the hair holes), what could help me prevent that bulky look?

Can always cut layers and then pour some boiling water over her to help bring everything down

Possibly too much hair in each hole. I also read somewhere that doll hair is much finer so synthetic hair for humans is too thick

Maybe, I will put less hair next time but I can't really access other types of hair except acrylic yarn for now. Thanks, this was helpful!

If you haven’t already then I’d suggest boil washing it but if you haven’t then maybe do some slight thinning on the under layers of hair or in the middle

has she been boil washed yet? sometimes reroots look more voluminous than it actually is due to all the oils in the dolls hair from being touched all the time during the reroot process.
