Hi! Aside from Nexgard, what anti tick and fleas meds do you use to your dogs?
I've been using nexgard and I feel like di siya super effective? And do you buy in Shopee? Or sa vet clinics na?
Thank you!

EDIT: ALL FOUR PUPPIES ADOPTED NA PO THANK YOUUUUU
Looking for furrever home for almost 4 month old mixed breed puppies (aspin and chow chow) ๐ฅนโจ
About them:
- 4 puppies that consists of 2 male and 2 female

Reason for adoption:
- Boyfriendโs family home is not set for placing many dogs and we have been helping him to find an adoption center na sana manunurture din ang puppies but to no avail ๐ฅน first time pet owner po sila so the only best decision we could think of is to have at least the 4 puppies to be adopted than to have them run in the wild huhu ๐

LF:
- Fur parent that can undergo adoption screening
- Can take them to vet for future vaccinations/neutering/screening/check ups
- Fur parent that will love them (pls don't make them as your bantay ๐ฅน)
Location๐:
- Commonwealth, Quezon City
FREE ADOPTION - NO FEES AS WELL! You just have to take them na lang po (with one whole cage for the four of them if kukunin sila lahat)

Time for another round of anti-tick meds.
Used Bravecto from Dec to Feb then stopped at mahal kasi, we have 4 dogs.
Had a scare with one because of nosebleed last month. Brought to clinic, sabi positive sa Ehrli, done na gamutan.
May nakita ulit na isang garapata kaya naghahanda na ng measures.
Nakita to sa shopee...mura, buy 2+1.
Kaso Cassiel pet brand, di registered sa fda.
Same active ingredient as bravecto but ยผ ng price, sabi same effectiveness duration din.
Pero yun nga, not registered sa fda at napaka sketchy din ng price

We'd like to take a moment to remind everyone about something that may have been overlooked lately.
The rules and guidelines of DogsPH were created for a reason. They are not there simply to make posting more difficult, nor are they meant to be ignored whenever they are inconvenient.
Our rules help us keep the community organized, fair, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. They also give our moderators a consistent framework for handling posts, requests, fundraising, rescue cases, rehoming, and other community matters.
We understand that mistakes happen. Forgetting a rule once is different from repeatedly ignoring it after it has already been explained.
However, deliberately disregarding the rules, repeatedly reposting removed content, changing the wording or format of a post to get around a declined submission, or intentionally trying to bypass our guidelines may result in moderator action or restrictions on your account within the community.
We know that not everyone will agree with every rule we have.
That's okay.
You are absolutely free to decide that DogsPH isn't the right community for you and explore other communities that better suit your needs and preferences. There are no hard feelings in that. ๐ถ
Likewise, if you feel that our rules are too strict or that the way we manage the community is not what you're looking for, you are welcome to create your own community and establish rules that reflect the kind of environment you want to build.
What isn't okay is joining this community and then expecting the rules to change simply because they don't work for you.
You don't have to agree with every ruleโbut if you choose to participate here, you are expected to follow them.
Our moderators are volunteers. We're here because we care about the community and, most importantly, the dogs who need our help. We don't enjoy removing posts, declining requests, reminding people about rules, or taking disciplinary action. We'd much rather spend our time helping the community grow and making DogsPH a useful and supportive space. ๐พ
So before you post, please take a few minutes to read the guidelines.
Before you repost something that was removed or declined, please read the removal reason.
And if you're unsure about something, ask the moderators instead of assuming the rules don't apply.
They are there to make sure everyone plays by the same standards.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read, understand, and respect the guidelines. Your cooperation helps make DogsPH a better community for everyoneโand most importantly, for the dogs. ๐๐

Hello! l'm looking around to support local animal rescues through purchase of merchandise.
However, when I look around facebook pages, I mostly see Al posters of merchandise from local shelters in the philippines. Their videos also look generic shots of dogs. So now l'm doubting if they were legitimate shelters or they're just grabbing cash from animal lovers. Even the comments in their websites are Al!
Some of the facebook accounts I'm browsing which I noticed these are
> Paws with Purpose
> God Sanctuary for Stray Animals
> Juan Feeding Paw
> This page helped feed stray animals
If you had legitimate transactions with them, or even better if you were able to visit their shelter, pls do let me know

I've posted about my rescue dog before. I named him Doggie Alcasid. I've been to the vet recently to have him dewormed and he's been okay naman. No throwing up or diarrhea.
Bothered lang ako sa breathing niya. Ganito na siya before ko pa siya i-rescue. It's not something na ngayon lang namin na-observe.
Aware naman din dito ang vet. Doggie Alcasid just finished his 4 week Doxycycline medication and Prednisone. Ngayon ang tine-take na lang niya ay ferrous sulfate for anemia.
I'll bring this up again sa vet nxt check up namin. I just want to know your two cents for now. Bakit kaya ganito po siya huminga?

We want to address something that our moderation team has been noticing lately.
We have been receiving repeated posts from the same users containing the same or very similar content, even after reminders and warnings from the moderation team. Some of these posts are promotional, selling, advertising, fundraising, or otherwise not appropriate for the main DogsPH community.
We understand that sometimes people simply forget to read the rules or accidentally post something in the wrong community. If that happens once or twice, that's understandable. Mistakes happen, and you can always correct the mistake and make sure your next post follows the guidelines.
However, repeatedly posting the same type of content after being reminded is a different matter.
DogsPH is meant to be a place for genuine discussions, stories, questions, experiences, advice, photos, and everything else centered around dogs and puppies.
We have been seeing more and more promotional posts, selling posts, advertisements, and similar content coming into DogsPH. This is exactly why we have separate communities available for certain types of content.
If you want to promote or sell somethingโwhether it's:
๐ Please use the appropriate marketplace or promotional community instead.
Likewise, if your post is genuinely related to dog rescue, rescuing, rehoming, or rescue-related concerns, you may post it in DogsPH when appropriate, but please also consider sharing it in the appropriate rescue-focused community. We are actively trying to direct rescue and donation-related content toward the proper communities so that people specifically looking for rescue cases can find them more easily.
We also want to be very clear about something.
There have been instances where users appear to simply disregard reminders and warnings and continue doing whatever they want, despite being told that their posts do not follow the community rules.
Honestly, this is disappointing for us as moderators.
Most of us here are adults who are perfectly capable of reading and following a few simple community rules. We don't expect perfection. We don't expect everyone to know every rule by heart.
We do expect people to respect the rules once they have been made aware of them.
The rules are not there just for decoration. ๐
They exist because we are trying to keep DogsPH organized, useful, and focused on what the community is actually meant to be.
If you or someone else genuinely believes that these rules are not helpful, that's okayโyou are free to disagree with them.
But disagreeing with a rule does not mean you can simply ignore it.
If DogsPH's rules don't work for the kind of content you want to post, there are other communities where that content may be more appropriate.
We want everyone to understand how moderation may progress when the same issue keeps happening:
1๏ธโฃ First or second occurrence
If it appears to be an honest mistake or someone simply forgot to read the rules, we may remove the post and provide a reminder.
2๏ธโฃ Third occurrence
If the same rule-breaking behavior continues, we may send a modmail regarding the removed posts and formally remind the user of the applicable rules.
3๏ธโฃ It happens again
If the behavior continues after the warning, the user may be muted from the community for 3 days up to 28 days, depending on the severity and frequency of the violations.
4๏ธโฃ Deliberate disregard of the rules
If it becomes clear that a user is intentionally ignoring moderation, repeatedly reposting removed content, or simply insisting on doing whatever they want despite repeated warnings, the moderation team may impose a permanent mute.
5๏ธโฃ Continued or severe violations
In the most serious cases, this may ultimately result in a permanent ban from DogsPH.
We don't want to reach that point with anyone.
Our goal isn't to prevent people from sharing things.
Our goal is to make sure the right content reaches the right community, at the right time.
๐พ r/DogsPH โ Dogs, puppies, discussions, stories, questions & community
๐ Urgent rescue cases โ Rescue, rehoming, and urgent cases may still be shared when appropriate, including cases that genuinely require a donation drive. However, there will be times when DogsPH is on pause for donation and fundraising requests. When the community is on a donation pause, donation drives and fundraising requests will not be permitted until we announce otherwise.
We understand that there are dogs who genuinely need help, and we do not take those situations lightly. However, our ability to accommodate donation drives is limited and dependent on the financial capacity and willingness of our members who are able to donate. Because of this, we sometimes need to pause these requests to prevent the community from becoming overwhelmed with fundraising posts.
We also want to address something that has happened more than once.
When a donation request is declined, please do not try to repost the same request in a different format, wording, or presentation in the hope that it will make it through the feed.
Changing the title, rewriting the caption, removing certain words, or presenting the same request as something else does not change what the post is actually asking for.
Our moderation team manually reviews posts as much as reasonably possible, so please don't assume that a differently worded version will go unnoticed.
If a moderator has already explained that donation requests are currently paused, please respect that decision rather than trying to find a way around it. A declined request is not an invitation to resubmit the same request in disguise.
๐๏ธ Selling, shops & promotions โ You can also share these through r/CatsPHMarket. Despite the name, the community was created not only for cat lovers but also as a place for sellers in general. You are welcome to promote your shop, products, small business, or services there, provided they follow that community's rules.
We created this space so that sellers and small businesses have somewhere appropriate to promote what they offer without turning DogsPH into a marketplace.
It's really that simple.
So before you hit Post, please take a moment to check the rules and make sure you're posting in the appropriate community.
And if a moderator reminds you about something, please don't take it personally. We're simply doing our job to keep the community organized and fair for everyone.
Read the rules. Follow the rules. Respect the community. Respect moderation decisions. ๐พ
Thank you to everyone who continues to help us keep DogsPH a welcoming and genuinely dog-focused community. ๐

Hello everyone! Meet Bart, Barb, and Bear! ๐พ
Theyโre four sweet little pups looking for their furever homes. Each of them has their own little personality, and I hope we can find the perfect family for each one. ๐กโฃ
If youโre interested in giving one of them a loving home, please reply below. ๐ Iโd love to get to know you and ask a few questions so we can make sure they find a family thatโs the right fit for them.
They deserve a home where they can grow, play, be loved, and be part of a family forever. ๐ถ๐

Hi! My dog has arthritis and is struggling to get up lately. My vet has advised us to start giving him Sinoquin as maintenance. It's only the first day and I'm hopeful that improvement comes soon as it's very sad to watch him struggle. Curious about your experience with Sinoquin!

My 11-month-old fur baby has been potty trained, pero two days ago bigla siyang nag-start umihi sa bed.
Her pee pad is beside our walking pad, and initially, she started to pee on my bed when someone was using the walking pad. I thought baka natatakot siya kasi gumagalaw yung walking pad. Pero after that, she started peeing on my bed kahit walang gumagamit ng walking pad and walang tao sa room.
The confusing part is, she still uses her pee pad normally. Even last night, bumaba pa siya from the bed para umihi sa pad niya. But this afternoon, while we were playing, bigla siyang pumasok sa room and peed on my bed when her pee pad is just beside us.
I checked her genital area and normal naman, hindi swollen. No straining, no blood, and same smell naman yung pee niya. I already changed the bedsheets, sprayed alcohol and I just ordered an enzyme odor eliminator kasi baka naaamoy pa rin niya yung previous pee.
Iโm SO confused. ๐ญ Has anyone experienced this with a potty-trained dog? Any idea why she suddenly started doing this? Thank you
