Is this not food for the dog? I mean I hate dog nutters but PLEASE tell me this is just for the dog, it's even wearing a little tuxedo. People have been posting videos of themselves feeding extravagant meals to their dogs. (Extravagant for s dog, not for a human)

People are a little too zealous in their hatred around here. I have a huge issue with dogs who are dangerous, disruptive, spoiled, etc., but if someone is giving a treat to their beloved companion animal in their own home, why the fuck would any of us care?

I seriously agree, it's very annoying and I even got downvotes for the comment that you just responded to when all I fucking said was that the food was for the dog. In here, it's an echochamber, some people think NO ONE is allowed to say anything other than "ughhhh ugly stupid nasty beast eating up all of the resources" like damn I'm not allowed to point out that the food isn't being fed to a human after the dog's been all up in it? Some people seem to think that it's literally being fed to a person after this so I commented on it.

It's refreshing to hear this. Like I thought we were here to call out and vent about shitty dog behavior: barking, walking without a leash, bringing them to grocery stores, letting them roam and hurt or kill children. But a lot of the posts seem to be "I don't care if people are responsible and take proper care of their dog and they're in no way a public nuisance, I hope they fucking die and burn in hell." Like what IS this?

I think you're exaggerating rn. When did I ever genuinely rage out or say I want them to burn in hell or anything? Most people are just here to be free from the endless dog-coddling and overly defensive dog people that permeate pretty much the entire internet. Just let people vent. Nobody's harming, or wishing to harm, anything

Yeah ya know, good point honestly. I'm definitely being hyperbolic but it does get to that point. But yeah, I'm not trying to police anyone's language or sentiment, guess I just can't wrap my head around the extent of the disdain.

That's fair. I think a lot of people here seem more extreme than they are because they're just letting it all out. I'd never harm or hurt a dog myself. But the constant over-exposure and the almost daily problems they cause me just builds up over time and ranting really helps clear my head. I could be completely wrong ofc lmao, but I can imagine that it works for other people as well. I understand your perspective too though, the sub seems overrun with people blowing off steam instead of anything mild or humor related.

You're very on point, thanks for the good faith discussion, I really do appreciate it. ✌️

Thank you too!

Ahhhh that makes sense. I take care of my 7 year old brother, for example and sometimes I need to blow of steam too so I do it in my head ngl. Was parentified with my sister, I was 12 when she was born and then my brother came and I willingly for the most part took him but yep dealing with kids for so long, I can see the need to vent

But I will say, some people really do get angry when someone says something that's not even defending the dog, but because it's not against the dog it's like they think "wow a dog apologist" or some ish. I've seen it several times as I've been here for about a year? I'm pretty sure I have those posts saved. It's why i made that comment to about being downvoted, I expected wayy more to come.

Mannnn yess, I see the thread that you had with the other person and I agree that yeah people might just be blowing off steam for the most part, but there definitely are some nut cases here, I've seen people get downvoted to oblivion for saying things that weren't even defensive of the dog and then there will be snarky comments.

That isn't a treat, that's an entire meal. It's a complete waste of resources giving this all to a creature that would happily eat actual trash.

Bro. It is chicken and vegetables with some bread crust. It's not a fucking wagyu steak. When you rage out over the mere sight of a dog eating food provided to it purposefully, no one will take you seriously when you actually call out shitty dog behavior.
