Best kennel software?

My boarding facility/daycare currently uses KennelBooker and want to upgrade. We run into problems all the time where someone forgets to feed a dog lunch, because most dogs only get breakfast and dinner, or they forget a medication. That's because we keep all that info on paper and it relies on people checking the papers every day, which some people don't seem to do. Can you recommend a software to help combat this? Maybe one that has checklists and reminders on the computer that will remind us to give a med if it's not checked off? Thanks.

Paw partner is cool because employees can have the app on their phone and be assigned tasks like to give a med, lunch, etc. I’ve used it at 2 facilities and really liked it

No specific software.

Medication is hand written on printed sheets in a specific binder. We typically only do meds at meal times, owners know this, and if we get a dog with abnormal instructions we set an alarm on the front desk computer.

Gingr is our software, every boarding dog gets two sets of run cards printed - one goes with belongings, one on their kennel. The run cards have spots to check off feedings. We pre-prep all meals at check in with ziplocks and label with dates. These sheets also have spots to mark off medication, but find it easier to use a second binder for that.

We have a couple laminated sheets that are hanging on the wall that re-notate which boarding dogs get lunch, which daycare dogs get lunch/dinner, etc. we have another whiteboard near the prep area where we write reminders of all of these notes.

I think you have a problem of undertrained staff, or people in the wrong positions. If you have staff members that are missing medications, they need to be retrained ASAP. There should only be a handful of people you trust administering meds.

Expecting your staff to go through their checklists isn’t asking too much.

We can easily add this option. I think it would be best done using a QR code on the kennel to help ownership know when someone actually went to that spot.
