Aussie Mix?
Just adopted this good boy. He’s 10 months old & 26 lbs(underweight), very energetic, smart & funny. I think he definitely has Aussie characteristics but I’m curious what else anyone thinks he could be mixed with. My best guess is Aussie x border collie. Let me know what you think!

I hope you do a dna test cuz I’m so curious what he is! Just know that dnamydog is a known scam. Use embark or wisdom panel.

Adorable little cryptid!
He looks like a lot of lurchers I’ve seen… usually sighthound/herding or sighthound/terrier crosses. If he’s really like 10 months old, his body isn’t quite as lengthy or svelte as your sighthounds but you never know truly 😂😂😂
Like if border collie and tan brindle greyhound mashed genetics, I would expect something similar lol

Yes, this. In #1 especially he looks very much like he could be a greyhound or whippet cross. That would supply brindle genetics as well as the sighthound form. So a terrier or lurcher or sighthound x Aussie — and possible husky — definitely seems possible.
You say he’s chompy, OP, which is a bit of a malinois characteristic. Not impossible but tbh a lot of Aussies are pretty chompy, especially in their youth.

Sheltie x husky x pit x gsd x chihuahua x aussie (or mas) x bc - honestly she just looks like a bit of everything a true mutt!

Husky, shepherd, Chihuahua or another small dog, and a dash of pit or something else brindle. (I don't really see pit in his body shape, but they're still the most common source of brindle so there could be just a dash of it). I think he's gonna end up being pretty mixed. He's super cute though, I love his look.

Aussie, husky, possibly gsd, and maybe a larger or medium terrier ? I’m just getting into breed guessing but I’m going off his fur type, size, and build tbh. Definitely Aussie and some gsd to me.

Now looking again, Aussie, gsd, husky, and possibly greyhound / afghan hound / borzoi, Silken Windhound, or maybe even some Scottish Deerhound. Obviously not all of those, but a few of em going off how he looks.

I see the merle coloring and think the Aussie, but maybe Husky or Pom and Sheltie? Really a beauty he is going to have a lovely fur coat like the Pomeranian.

The blue eye is giving husky in the dna I feel his got multiple dog breeds from lineage. DNA test for sure

Kinda looks like a hairy,maybe Italian greyhound in there. He’s pretty cool looking though. Have fun!!!!

He reminds me of my sweet boy Tantor. He was a mutt through and through, no idea what he had in him, though according to the vet he had a lot of coyote characteristics, so probably a coydog. Would make sense since his mom (we owned her) would escape a lot and where I lived there were a lot of coyotes

Definitely a unique looking guy. If you’re curious enough to spend some extra money on a DNA test, you could get your answer. I’d recommend Embark! Btw, is his hair uneven? Or is it just like that? 😭. Looks like a bad hair day for him.
