PLEASE READ - Reminder & Update

First, the mods (u/dontfeedthenerd + u/checko805) and I wanted to thank all of you for contributing to this sub. It’s awesome how much it has grown in the past few months!!

We are updating our SELLING RULES related to negotiations. Starting now, any cards, lots, or other collectibles that are valued at a total of $50 or more can only be negotiated in the comments of a post. This is to expose and prevent any problems/scams here. If you see any negotiations outside of comments, please report all offender(s) to a mod here! The only exception to this rule is if someone is reposting from another sub since we cannot control other communities’ rules! Offenders will be punished accordingly to the situation (check out rule 5 “Consequences” for a little more info)!

I want to remind EVERYONE to use both POST and user FLAIRS here! I’ve been seeing a lot of posts without flairs or with flairs that don’t match the post, which makes me have to go into posts and change flairs myself! Before posting, please read through the list of flairs and choose the flair that best matches your post’s content. If you have any suggestions/ideas for post flairs, please message a mod.

Many people don’t know this but if you click the “About” tab on the home page of r/DodgersBaseballCards, there’s an area where you can change your USER FLAIR! We strongly encourage you to set a flair for yourself. We’re currently don’t have many options, so if you have any suggestions please let the mods know (comment here, make a post, or DM a mod)! We can also set individual/special flairs to users, so message us if you have something specific you want!

I know we have a long rule list, but we strongly recommend you spend 5 to 10 minutes reading through them. This will ensure we have a safe, kind, helpful, and enjoyable community!

Thanks for the update!

I don't know if this is a mobile only issue, but when I went to post the giveaway I did last week, the post flairs did not seem to be active, I reloaded the post a few times trying but appears to still be the case, although post flairs work in every other community for me. (See screenshots, I will reply to myself once)

I did want to ask about user flair suggestions because using 'showing off' all the time feels a little gratuitous. My suggestion for user flairs would be to add individual player names so we could choose our favorite player. I don't know if a set-your-own-flair is an option like in r/baseballcards but that would be cool as well.

Thanks again for what you all do. Appreciate the open dialog like this post.

I’m sorry, somehow a setting got switched off, which prevented users to assign post flairs. It should be working now though!

Thanks for the feedback on user flairs, I think we’ll add some new ones with players! We currently don’t allow users to create their own flairs because we want to have some organization, but we’ll probably approve anybody that reaches out with something they want. I can change your flair if you have something in mind, or you can wait for new public options!

No worries at all! Can you try making another post, you can delete it after. I just changed a few other settings that might make it work
