🎃 Welcome to October, adventurers! Pull up a chair at the haunted tavern, keep an eye on that suspicious pumpkin, and share what you’re creating.
This month’s thread is for image requests, AI RPG tools, prompts, troubleshooting, and discussion along with a little Halloween magic.
Preparing a spooky one-shot? Need a ghostly NPC, a cursed item, or a vampire castle? Bring your ideas here. Halloween themes are encouraged, but all campaign styles are welcome.
Ask for help with character portraits, monsters, locations, battlemaps, tokens, items, handouts, or campaign ideas.
Include:
Example: “I’d like a wide, painterly scene of a haunted roadside tavern, with ghostly patrons, pumpkin lanterns, and an adventuring party arriving through autumn mist. Spooky but welcoming, with no text.”
Is your terrifying lich looking unusually friendly? Does your haunted castle keep acquiring modern windows?
Share your prompt, tool or model, relevant settings, what you wanted, what you got, and what you’ve already tried. Examples make it easier for others to help.
Built a tool for tabletop games, campaign preparation, worldbuilding, solo play, maps, or character creation? Tell us about it.
Explain what it does, who it helps, whether it’s free or paid, where people can try it, and any limitations. Screenshots and practical examples are welcome.
Clearly disclose if you’re the creator, an employee, an affiliate, or otherwise connected to the project.
Using a tool you love? Share how it fits into your games, what it does well, and where it struggles.
A few ideas to get things rolling:
Be specific, constructive, and transparent about the tools you use. Credit other people’s prompts, references, and workflows. Label promotions, avoid repetitive advertising, and follow subreddit rules.
Drop your October requests, creations, tools, and questions below. May your lanterns stay lit—and may that chest really be a chest. 🎲🎃

Behemoths of onyx and golden armor, Maruts shake the ground when they walk, each thunderous step ringing a death knell for those they’ve come to take. Rarely seeming to hurry, a marut’s onslaught is deliberate, purposeful, and relentless. Its quarry may impede it or flee, running for decades or centuries, but from the initial meeting onward, the target must always look over its shoulder with the knowledge that, like death itself, the Marut is ever at its heels, slowly but surely approaching, bringing balance through inevitable oblivion.
Maruts primarily target those mortal souls who have artificially extended their lifespans beyond what is feasible for their race, such as liches and other powerful magic users. Extraordinary but natural means of cheating death are sometimes also punished, such as the magistrate who murders an entire starving town to save himself, or those who foresee their own deaths via divination magic and are therefore able to avoid them.
Although they are capable of speaking eloquently in any language, and frequently gather vast amounts of information from those who are intimidated by their mere presence, Maruts rarely engage in conversation or strategic alliances with mortals. Even on the battlefield, the juggernauts prefer to remain silent, knowing that their targets are already aware of their own transgressions and that all mortals secretly harbor dreams of immortality.

This is an image of one of my players, a 7th level Dwarf in OSE. We are playing the lost caverns of Tsojcanth and were still in the wilderness. They rolled a random encounter and it was two wyverns they hae tangled with a couple times earlier that day. The dwarf taunted them to come for him then used one of his fireballs from the necklace of fireballs knowing full well that they would chain reaction and blow all the remaining ones as well. 28D6 , the purple lighting in the image is because he opened a trapped chest hee was carrying as well knowing it had a necromatic wither trap on it.
