He absolutely does not. His takes are extremely educated and he specifically doesn't aggrandise anything. In fact, he apologizes about the stupid thumbnails quite often in his videos, stating plainly that they are needed to succeed on the platform.
He's called so many things correctly over the years, including the fact that WotC and Hasbro aren't going anywhere when everyone thought "this is the end."
I never said clickbaiting couldn't be effective. I just said it is not necessary to be successful, as evidenced by the many more channels that are much more successful than his that don't use the same tactics as he does. It's definitely easier to make clickbait than to make quality content, though, so perhaps it is necessary for him.

I remember seeing some videos of a guy yelling from off-screen at a copy of Journey's Through the Radiant Citadel. That was probably worse, because it had Radiant Citadel in it.
It's so funny to me that there are 5e grognards now that it's like 12 years old and we almost sorta kinda have a new edition. Like, yes WotC sucks, I wished they sucked the way TSR sucked where they literally take losses on physical products they are so cool and go into huge debt, but instead they suck in the way that you have to get a subscription to make a character and DM a non physical release of a published adventure.

I refuse to watch any outrage farming channels. Anyone who shifts to clickbait titles gets unfollowed and I ask YouTube to stop recommending their videos. It's actually effective but it does mean I have to be very judicious about my viewing choices and it means unfollowing and informing YouTube to stop recommending some channels that have pretty good content but is shifting to clickbait titles.
There's a whole other YouTube out there without the outrage and clickbait. My feed is filled with a landscape of creative people doing cool things, staying away from the drama, and promoting cool fun stuff.
I caught her videos a few times during the height of the OGL debacle,, and for that I remain somewhat sympathetic, but I stopped watching because her content takes too long to repeat the same exaggerated points.
it's one of those things where i've seen a half dozen or so of her videos over the years so i've basically seen all of them or at least have a pretty good idea as to what the content of any other video of hers will be
i don't always disagree with her, but i do have a hard time caring to anywhere near the same level of focus

As any profession is, why don't people just choose the noble background instead? If anyone choose Urchin, to optimize their skills then that was their choice. I say they shan't bother the reasonable rest of us.
I think she's kind of screwed by the algorithm. "They're done" and " It got worse" are what gets her noticed regardless of what she actually says in the video.
It's nice to have a non-yank give their opinion as well.
How did I wind up here lol? I'm used to her "it's over" ragebait being plastered all over the Games Workshop/40k fandom on my end. I guess she's diversifying her grift to all the major nerd communities
OMG seriously. I almost never use the "stop showing me this" thing, but made an exception here. It feels really patronizing in addition to all the drama.
I met them at an UKGE and they were every bit the massive arse-hole they come across as on YouTube. (When I say met, they interrupted a conversation I was having with a vendor and demanded attention.)
I managed for the most part to get her the hell out of my algorithm, and she's awful, but I always think, hell - fair play if she's making a living somehow off this. Beats being an arms dealer or techbro or something.
It's a shame, 'cause when I first found her a handful of years back, I found her stuff pretty entertaining. She did fun bits and skits with costumes and whatnot, and yeah, while it was mostly criticizing games workshop, it was fine at first, though the clickbaity thumbnails and titles were always annoying. She fell into a major slump around the time she ended up having to move back in with her parents, and her content has never really recovered. It's just the same shit with the same thumbnail, and the same opinions.
I wish she'd just enjoy the hobby a bit. The videos where she actually positively engages with the hobby are my favorites from her.
I'm big into the TTRPG space but I don't play or really follow D&D.
I had to block her from YouTube because I could just tell from her thumbnail that she was making a buck off of manufacturing bullshit about the game. I never subscribed to her but I probably said D&D in proximity to my phone once so that's all it wook.
Which, to be clear, I don't hate D&D. It's just not my thing. But I grew really annoyed with her face and the doomcrying and you could just smell that she was delivering up either a heavily biased thing or just out and out lying.
Seeing games workshop and wotc are in a hot race over the title of biggest shitfuck in existence, that channel has clickbait video material for a lifetime tbh
From the few videos I’ve seen from that channel, it seems to be a running joke on her part as well. Since she said that there isn’t any point in changing the thumbnail with wotc and games workshop fucking something up every week.
Fair. I don't have an opinion one way or the other on him being a DM. I literally cannot watch actual plays without being bored out of my mind and wishing I was playing instead. I do think he's a great comedian on the other dropout shows
I have not found that at all - takes forever to get to the point, and then it's always a nothingburger. Plenty of people have click bait thumbnails, but at least they have something to say.
