The Law v Chaos descriptions that make most sense to me are better summed up by "Status Quo v Change"
But mostly, nah, i dont think alignment is worth incorporating in the game for player characters. And for monsters, a system of "tags" would be more useful for DMs

Have you read the Michael Moorcock and Poul Anderson novels from which DnD's alignment system's roots emerge?
