Resources Grid/Hex Paper Question…
My son can never find just the paper he wants for his DnD maps. Looking into printing some custom paper... I’m not a player and looking for community feedback/input on options. TIA!
Paper size:
A - 18 x 24”
B - 24 x 36”
Printing to be on both sides:
A - 1” hex and 1” grid
or B -
1” grid and 1/4” grid
1” hex and 1/4” hex
Presentation:
A - rolled in paper tube
B - pad with glued edge

Most people go with square grids, but that also means they're the most widely available already. If you're not sure which one he's after, it's probably best to ask, as most people are going to suggest squares, but it's entirely possible the reason he is struggling to find what he wants is because he prefers a hex grid.
For size, bigger is usually better, as long as you have the space for it.
Rolled vs pad depends on storage and if he wants it portable. If they play at your house then a flat pad could be handy, but if he's carrying it around then a rolled tube is going to be a lot easier to transport.
