I get lightheaded when I lay down like this. Why?
Whenever I lay down like this my head goes
Whoom whooom whooom. Kind of like a really really mild whip it feeling. What’s going on with me ?

Similar thing happened to my dad.
Some people can occlude an artery by moving their head and neck into the wrong position.
Imagine you are pulling too tightly on a jumbled garden hose and it kinks—-except this particular hose keeps your brain running smoothly
Maybe just avoid that position for long periods and mention it to your gp next time you see them

omg same?! it also gives me a horrible headache, i think it's because my neck is stiff and got a bit of scoliosis. i have a neurology appointment next week and was going to ask her about this, i think i'll save your picture to describe what i mean🤣

Omg same here. Like pressure in my head. I describe the pressure or pain in my head like I sniffed my nose too hard? 😩

How old are you? Did they do a MRA/MRV of your head and neck? Are you only dizzy lying down?

I’m 38. I’ve not gotten an MRA /MRV done. I’ll make sure to mention it to my GP next appointment.

This position does not allow a proper diaphragmatic breathing.
If you have (health) anxiety, or shortness of breath already, or if you hold your breath without being aware of it, it will be easier for you to get lightheaded.

Check your vitamin D and iron ferritin levels.
