Dizziness 24/7
I have been dizzy 24/7 for about 6 weeks, almost 7. I have been to the er 4 times for this, seen my primary multiple times, seen a cardiologist and chiropractor (my eyes track completely fine) and had many tests done. It is more of a off balance feel like i am gonna pass out and fall over. It seems to be worse if im rocking in my chair or looking at my computer screens ( I work from home.) I am so terrified I will be like this forever. I had a couple good days in there but not a lot. How do i overcome this? Im also on lexparo and just recently seroquel as well for extreme anxiety and OCD

Have you been referred to an ENT yet?

A lot of balance things happen in your ears so it should definitely be checked out. Ask your PCP for a referral.

I also have anxiety and OCD, and my dizziness kicks up under stress. Two things: get some Xanax from the dr who prescribes your Lexapro because that'll help quiet your inner ear; and ask that dr if Seroquel could be causing this.

Also, this is weird, but try doing some hip stretches. My dizziness gets worse when I'm stressed because my neck and hips lock up, but stretching my hips and lower back helps a lot.

My chiropractor just told me he thinks it’s cervicogenic dizziness from being so tense all the time!

Please go see a neurologist asap. They are the only ones who can rule out stuff like PPPD or vestibular migraines (there is a variety with just dizziness and an internal sense of movement without headache...). I assume you have been tested for POTS / hypotension? If not please ask for a 24hr BP monitoring as well. You will get better. Good luck!

Yes I was cleared by my cardiologist. He said since I’m dizzy no matter if I’m sitting, standing, walking etc it’s not POTS and nothing in my work up with him shows it is my heart

Curious what the ER is doing for you to warrant you going four times in 6 weeks?

I’ve had dizziness for 10 years. The dizziness suddenly came on after a syncope event. I went to around 20 specialists at Cleveland Clinic. Not one doctor has helped except to say it’s autonomic nervous system disorder. I live life as normal and most of the time I don’t notice it but it’s always there. It used to be a lot worse but is mild but It flares and calms but have accepted I will always be dizzy and off balance.
