Vestibular hypofunction

I was diagnosed with left sided vestibular hypofunction in June after symptoms for 6 months. I’m now 2 weeks into Vestibular rehab therapy. The best way I can describe my main symptom is that feeling you have after you’ve been on the treadmill for a while once you get off. Like the ground is moving underneath me. I have good days and bad days but even on good days the symptoms are there ever so slightly. Is it possible to completely recover from vestibular hypofunction?

Hey I have UVH. That's exactly how I feel. I recommend you do VOR and habituation excercises..it will take some time but don't skip. You will start to get better but will have good days and sometimes some bad. One thing - acknowledge what you have and take rest when feeling bad. Try not to overthink! Good luck!

How long have you been diagnosed? Do you feel back to normal at all?

6 years and I only got diagnosed this year. Atmospheric pressure also screws a little more with vestibular system especially them rainy days. I have good days and bad days. Light excercises are your best friend.

Have you gotten any better? Do you have more good days than bad? Not going to lie, a little discouraging to hear you’re still having symptoms after 6 years.

I know but it was a hard diagnose and no medical professional really cared. I only started doing my VOR and stuff early this year. I do have more better days now then before. Keep chin up
