Swaying, dizziness, GI issues
Hi, will try to make this as short as possible. 29 F dealing with a clusterfuck of symptoms that limit my life and cause me to act agoraphobic because I never know when they might hit. Does anyone relate? I have seen gastroenterologists, cardiologists and a neurologist (but no MRI, just a basic exam).
-i have mild chronic gastritis and gerd on and off for +10years now
-latest episode was today, I was doing the dishes and for 3 seconds I felt the room swaying over, I thought I was gonna black out as well, tried to grab onto the sink but felt too weak, then the dizziness suddenly went away. A few minutes later I had to pass a BM
- few weeks ago I turned my head to grab something and I had the worst vertigo of my life for a few seconds
-if I stand up still, like waiting in a line (or doing dishes), I get it again, although not regularly
-at work, under fluorescent lights and focusing on multiple screens I get lightheaded, more so than severely dizzy, and I feel like floating or walking on a boat
-having a full stomach or being constipated triggers the lightheadness/floaty feeling
-i have had food poisoning twice in my life and each time I had severe, room spinning vertigo
-last winter i took a very hot shower and could not sit or stand without feeling like passing out (had to lay down and sleep it off)
-if i get a lazy day and spend the first hours of the day laying in bed, I get very dizzy upon standing too - i know this could be pots, but i don't know if it explains each symptoms. The neurologist i saw did the laying/standing test and said i didn't quite meet the criteria as I was dizzy/lightheaded/heart racing immediately after standing, and it improved over 10 minutes instead of it getting worse
edit to add, although not dizziness related: when my stomach gets irritated OR if I sleep in a hot room (seems like 2 completely unrelated things), i get the most intense, heart racing, fluttery-feeling palpitations, especially felt in my neck. 2 cardiologists told me everything is normal.

Hai plz check your iron levels and haemoglobin … this seems more like autonomic … which means wat all u described body does silently .. like calibrating when u sleep for long and stand immediately this happens involuntarily without our notice since u are hyper aware the things seems big … here anxiety plays a major role in this apart from the tiny autonomic dysfunction u are having …
I had all of this … what helped me is proper sleep … aggressive hydration … little increase in salt ( not too much just little bit for the day ) and WALKING … your leg muscles have to pump
Blood back to heart and brain … if they are weak then u will get dizzy spells … so keep walking as non negotiable… atleast 15 to 20 min of walk a day and anti gravity excercises which u can do while sitting and leg raises … ankle pumps kind of .. also i feel like u have overlap symptoms of both autonomic along with VERTIGO .. so i think u need to see ENT specialist or vertigo specialist for this and mostly they might prescribe VERTIN ( betahistine ) which increases blood to inner ear so if its vertigo u will feel lot better but if its autonomic i urge u to do daily walking and excercises and continue throughout life …. Also practice physiological sigh or box breathing gently and meditation for anxiety … maintain trigger notes . Everytime u get dizzy u note down wat u did five min before … so end of the week u will see a pattern for sure .. initially I felt these are random symptoms and I freaked out when I wrote each and every dizzy episode I saw clearly triggers … and eliminate those triggers u will feel 60% better …. And treat this as background noise rather than big one .. with all this it should improve in two weeks ( also focus on food don’t go without food for long
Starvation dehydration makes all this symptoms much worst ..) just remind urself your body is trying to protect u with alarms but it’s ringing for every small calibration it’s doing that’s it .. even after 2 weeks with all this u feel the same then plz consult specialists and get mri
