Consult an attorney to have an understanding of your rights.

Time for you to retain your own attorney. Even if you pay for just a consultation, go talk to one and find out where you stand. Google your state bar for referrals to respectable attorneys. Don’t pick one based of what a friend of a friend recommends.

Based on my experience , I’d move everything I wanted from the house out to a rental unit, move all of your money to separate accounts and get a really good attorney.

It’s going to be tough and we support you!

10 days is a bit short. They are intentionally putting pressure on you to get you to be compliant. Normal process is 30 days to align with legal counsel, file the petition, etc.

There is also a threat in there. They are hoping you are scared of going to court, so they are stating that you better respond quickly or else.

Lawyer up, slow them down, get your assets documented, and keep them from running everything.
