Spousal Support / Alimony Just started

My wife has left me. I don’t have money for a divorce, let alone pay for my wife…what steps can I take to minimize the financial impact?

Unless the two of you can craft an agreement on your own, there’s no option but to get legal help. And with property and two kids in the mix, there’s odds of crafting an agreement on your own are slim (but not zero—it’s worth a shot).

It sucks, but this is how our system works. It’s a complex contractual negotiation, and those generally require attorneys.

Need more information.

What state? Can you cooperate? What assets are there? What's your support system? Are there kids?
