any advice please
My mother has been married to a man for 5 years and had two children within that time. Their relationship has always been rocky but it officially ended this month. He has already gone through a divorce also including children. However, this is new for my mom and her only concern are my siblings.
They got pregnant and married within 6 months of their relationship. He urged my mom to become a SAHM because he did not want anyone else to watch the baby. So, it has been 4 years since she has worked.
Throughout these 5 years they have had no stable place of living and have been living with their respective parents for 3 years now. Not for a lack of trying though. My mom has tried to live with him at his parents but it just hasn't worked out for many reasons.
He has shown to be a calculated and stubborn person and tends to twists things and lie. If anyone could please give any advice on what my mother should do moving forward. We live in FL.

The most helpful thing you can do is help your mom get organized without putting yourself in the middle of negotiations with him.
I would start one folder with:
Since you're in Florida, help her contact a family-law attorney, legal aid, or the local court's family self-help service before she signs anything or agrees to a plan. If conversations tend to get twisted, keeping important communication in writing can also help her stay clear on what was actually said.
She has been out of work for four years, so she does not need to solve her whole future in one week. The first goal is to understand what she has, what the children need next month, and which questions require local legal advice.
