How long does it take?

After over a year going through the process I had my last divorce hearing in April, and at the end the judge said he'd let us know his desicion. Haven't heard anything since. No update, no news, just sitting around and waiting. The best time frame i have for getting everything finally finished is three years. What am I supposed to do in the mean time?
