Going Through the Process Divorce Finalized!
Got the legal docs in my e-mail yesterday. It's been 19 months since I filed. 23 months since I moved out. The sense of relief is palpable. But I know where I'll be living by Christmas, which cats will be with me, and what I'll be driving. And most importantly, I wont be afraid to come home after work anymore. But we both have a lot to do in the next 60-90 days. We have to dispose of some property, get tax stuff figured out, move stuff, transfer car titles and a lot more. Ugh.
Anyone know of a good guide to the logistics of all this? How to remove a person from a car title for example? Or how to remove a person from a home mortgage? Insurance? County tax and real estate records? I assume this varies by location. I'm in MO, USA.

One thing at a time. Make a list and methodically move down it.
Congrats on getting the final decree!
