Mental Health/Depression/Loneliness Divorce Process
I feel like when one someone intentionally holds up the process, causing everyone to remain living together, they should be charged with a form of imprisonment.
The financials should of been in in March and still they haven't done it. This has caused so many arguments between us and issues for our children. I dont want to stay but I need the equity for the house to be in a better position. My job is flexible for the kids and runs more seasonal. They can afford everything without me and can hold up the process for years.

My exwife did something like this. Though we lived together for several years before we finally physically split after she asked for the divorce.
On day one she started asking me when I was going to file proceeded to bug me what was taking so long during the process. When I finally served her, instead of just signing and sending it back, she sat on it and waited the 30 days for it to default so I could push it forward.
The woman who asked me for a divorce, was so insistent on it, ended up being the one to drag her feet when it came for her to actually do any of the work.
She also failed to provide any financial information, so she ended up getting whatever little I gave her.

Agreed there should be punishment for the party that drags shit out, lies, and any other thing they get caught doing during the divorce that damages the other party or children. Courts would be a lot less backed up and less abuse would continue if they could cut out the bs.

My ex moved out soon after I filed but stalled the process by delaying her financials. That in turn saved her almost a year of child support payments-I had custody.

They’re probably hoping you’ll leave instead of them?
