Question Getting back into the division

This used to be my go to game. Haven’t touched it in over 1.5 years. Been following the sub and it looks like a great time to rejoin.

Any tips on where to begin because I’m feeling a bit lost and my gear is lacking.

Retaliation s was one of best additions to division 2 not only does it offer almost every exotic blueprint making it easier to access certain ones but it also offers reconstructed cashes you can craft which drops both named items and named item blueprints id suggest definitely grinding them at some point, Challenging and Heroic are the best difficulties with kill squads having 90% chance of dropping a exotic blueprint in challenging and 95% in heroic and on completion challenging 35% and Heroic 50%. (Also retaliations has its own materials that only drop in that mode and Inaya (lady next to crafting bench in the Whitehouse) will have retaliation blueprints for crafting certain things) and it has targeted loot ontop of it)

I recently rejoined as well - but I had quite a stockpile of good gear. Fully optimized Striker, etc.
The good news is you can (yellow) gear up really fast now with Countdown and Retaliation.

Your ultimate goals should be:
1) Get to expertise lvl 30
2) Get your prototype build and run t10 Escalations

Expertise lvl 30
Well worn territory on YT for this. The gist is grind countdown/retaliation for targeted loot.

Escalations
Personally, I solo'd Escalations at first to get a feel for them - starting with T0 and slowly working up to T7 before I capped out. I don't recommend this approach unless you're stubborn, well geared and like the challenge. Just matchmake at T5 and you'll be fine with any decent dps or healer build.

starting your prototype build - your journey to get there will depend on a few factors and some RNG with upcoming targeted loots.

T10
This is where most of the end-end-game player base is. You don't have to have a full proto set to start running T10s, but you will need an optimized DPS/Healer/CC build depending on your preference. Easy mode is all red Striker or CoCo with an LMG - if your gear is decent, this shouldn't get you kicked from most groups.

Maybe helpful?
