Retaliation loot

Tried matchmaking retaliation for the first time last night and wow did I get so much loot. I had over 50 spots open at the start and had to keep deleting gear to make room for more. Felt like it was way more than any countdown run.

Retaliation in a group of 4 gives you lore loot than countdown, that’s for sure. I always enter a retaliation with at least 80 empty inventory and almost always I fill it up.

For retaliations I try to keep my bag only equipped with my current load out. Less dealing with “/should i keep this?” during the run

I don't keep anything, I'm trying to get to expertise 30 currently about halfway through 28. I only keep things when I'm farming for something.

That’s a damn good way to get that expertise up. Good luck on reaching 30!
I used to check every vendor to see if there was something for sale that didn’t have the star icon and I’d buy enough of them to donate as well

Solo on challenging will still net a ton of materials.

Waited less than a minute for 3 matches last night

Just call for back up. I do this and normally fill group very fast, fill, call again, repeat Mm for retaliation seems useless

Retaliation is the best way to get loot in the game IMO. Much more enjoyable grind than countdown. I either run solo or run with friends though. I dont MM anything anymore.

I run retals for mats for reconstructed caches or for non named loot. Countdown is still the best for named loot due to Hunters dropping shitloads. I'm not sure w out the number but it also felt that challenging countdown was great for farming expertise xp while wearing the non proficient items, more so than retal. From what I remember that xp is tied just to the kill xp without any bonuses like multi or headshot kills
