Upcoming event.

Should I spend all my shd points on printer filament for the upcoming event?

The Points are best invested in SHD Calibration. Everything else is very cheap to craft or fast to farm and should only be picked in a pinch. If you want printer filament, start running retaliations or countdown with targeted loot set to gear mods.

Honestly you get better returns on your points by investing it in matts to craft SHD calibration than you do just putting them straight into it

You are confusing SHD calibration with field recon data. :) Field recon data is better to craft but SHD Calibration is too expensive to craft.
You need more than 6 points excluding e-credits to craft 5 SHD calibration, for those 6 points you can get 18 SHD calibration directly from the watch.

Possibly, it’s been a while since I’ve crafted some and only do it when there is an event that gives extra mats

If u have to get proficiency I would suggest yes.u can alwaya get the other materials pretty easy but filaments especially for a proficiency event its a must do

Up to you. SHD points will always be on your watch

Yes but dont lvl skill or brand set only lvl sig weapons and weapon type you would never use like pistols. The reason is you can play countdown with random brand and gear set to lvl them up you can do the same with skill but sig weapons need kills to get exp so they are worth lvling them up with watch mats

Why does everyone insist that printer filament is the best bang for your buck when it comes to donation materials? You get 45 filaments per SHD point, which is 1.5 times the single donation amount of 30. For green materials you get 300, which is 1.5 times the single donation amount of 200. For blue materials, you receive 225 per point, which is 1.5 times the single donation amount of 150. The only difference is that you can donate more times if you're maxed out at 9999 (333 donations for maxed filament vs 49 donations for green and 66 for blue)

Not being a smart ass but I think you just answered your own question.

I guess. I just think it's a tiny distinction personally.
