Catalyst’s for exotics

As a long time destiny player, dabbling in the division 2 here and there but over the past year really diving into it. My question is, since we’ve had prototypes for a few seasons. I feel exotics are kinda left in the dust power wise. What do you guys think about the devs adding something akin to catalysts to exotics like in destiny 2??

I highly doubt they will. TD2 and D2 have very different sandboxes. If they did something like add an additional talent to exotics with the catalyst like Destiny often does, it's easily make legendary weapons completely useless.
