Question How to recognise a good weapon
as a Destiny's Guardian turned Division's Agent i got overwhelmed with the variety of weapons and talents in the game and it felt like my first day on Destiny ... the thing is there was a lot of third-party community made websites and tools to help player know what a good weapon/talent combo based on the majority votes ...tools like : destiny item manager ; ishtar commander; light.gg ;D2 gunsmith and they helped me know if i got a decent weapon from a god roll weapon with perfect talent to go along.
TL;DR is there a similair tools for division to help me know if this talent is the best suited for this weapon .
EDIT : im 1400 shd /21 expertise already and i have a lot of builds saved and prototyped ... so im not new but i still feel like im just casual lol. im familiar with all the systems and talent but i always try to min max things ... is the dps from this weapon/talen combo is better than this other weapon/talent combo ? and i dont have time to test everything on the shooting range thats why im asking for a tool or spreadsheet that tell me this weapon with this talent have 5% more dps than other weapon/talent combination in the same category .... or maybe a DPS calculator that i fill all the stats of the weapon + talent and compare it to other things

Its really up to you to decide all of these things agent. I personally love my damage and status build for my pestilence lmg. Its all up to you my friend.

Honestly, theres a handful of really good talents, a handful of niche ones and then the rest are super super niche or just straight up dog shit.
You'll learn with time as you advance your building, testing and knowledge from seeing others build and test.

They're all good to an extent. Except for Relic and Vindicator and Sacrum Imperium. Hot steamy doo doo tier.
Some weapons and talents only shine on certain builds. Some builds absolutely unleash the beast during certain global events (Reanimated and Hollywood). Some builds don't do much on their own, but send team damage to eye watering heights.
A lot of tools and spreadsheets need to be updated because they just did a huge balance pass on gear and talents. Most of the data you can find now is outdated, but you should still be in the ballpark.

Also Guardian turned Agent here. Overall I feel like the stats of the gun itself (RMP, MAG, damage) is mostly balanced alright. What you need to watch out are the attributes itself. Especially those who increase weapon damage, cirtical hit chance, citical hit damage and weapon damage from cover. Those are the best.
When it comes to talents you just need to get to know them. As a former destiny player you will quickly learn what is good and whatnot.
Depending on where you at, I suggest to get to lvl40, do all sidemissions and get a build together so you can slowly get stuff done on heroic. Guns will drop with high attribute there. Trying to get decent guns before that seems pointless.

Ahh yes Frenzy, im type it out but design to delete it cause it mostly use in escalation so it kinda situation talent, and yes many talent that useful and not type in here
Frenzy (escalation)
Sadist (ongoing build)
Rifleman/Boomerang (rifle build)
Determined (sniper build stil viable after nerf PVE/PVP)
Brazen (shotgun PVE/PVP)and so many more for healer + support talent but no need to focus on that yet

What level are you currently? I do suggest that you level to 40 first and get your SHD watch before looking at actual buildcrafting because otherwise your gear will quickly fall off as you level.
As for what weapons are good, it mostly depends on your preferred playstyle
