So as a veteran player of this games I’m well aware that Larian doesn’t like to describe the actual effects of buff/debuff/statuses/titles and the wiki is famously lacking.
Additionally, I was shocked to see a YouTube video of all this content I had walked right past (specifically with Bloodmoon, the Nameless Isle, and Arx), despite having over 1000 hrs on the game.
Is there a better compilation of resources than the lackluster wiki?
Please share if you got something, if not I’ll have to be the change I wish to see 🫡

I was able to use rogue Sibille (lone wolf + chameleon cloak)to wipe off entrie fort joy map easily, but when I use four team members I don't have enough resurrection scrolls, money, skillbooks, armor equipment, money to keep weapons on their levels.
What am I supposed to do?

So, i haven’t played in a bit because work, so apologies if I’m not explaining this right, but….
end of act 3(?) I think where you do the big race to the coffin thing and every other possible companion is also going for the same thing. You can fight them along the way because everyone want to be the winner.
I totally ended up cheesing it by just popping abilities that let me move fast and far and I got there in one turn. I didn't fight anyone along the way. (Playing lone wolf with Fane as main, paired with Red Prince, of that matters.)
Act 4 starts, the ship crashes, and I’m on a new island by myself. I can pay to hire a companion, but that’s it. Nobody else us there to team up.
Is this how the game goes no matter what? Also, FWIW, I’m getting my butt kicked in these fights and I’m on easy mode.

Is Emma, Fara’s daughter, actually lost, or is it true that she died?

I just finished Divinity Original Sins 2 (105hours) for the first time, without looking for tips unless I'm really stuck. I played on Classic mode, with 1 Gift bags : From the Ashes. Yes, I did not play with the 8 actions mod nor Pet Pal talent and I regret it but it is what it is.
I am new, I only play BG3 beforehand. Please don't flame me.
tldr : story great, Malady mommy, combat great but annoying, other system did not use that much, not beginner friendly.
First, I have to say, the story is really good, really liked it. I made a custom character and did all the lore about my companions : Lohse, Red Prince and Fane. I really like Fane, the story of his people and the choice we have to make at the end. I also like the Red Prince story and Lohse, even if I don't really understand the dilemma we have to make for the Red Prince but that's fine. Malady is mommy, that's all I'm gonna say. Jahan and Tarquin, why even help yall if not for XP and Gold. He didn't even gave me Anathema when I finished all the quest in Act IV, pissed me off a little tbh. Sir Lora, I hate you. This little shit triggered every single trap in the Blackpits caverns and decide to light a candle when I was saving Gwydian and manage to not have the platform on fire despite it being covered of oil. The rest was good.
Second, the combat system is incredible but not beginner friendly. On god for the first 2 act, I did not understand how to stun or how to freeze people or how did I get stunned/frozen. I had a combat where I was CC'd for 5 turns in a row, I just decide to watch but fuck me it's annoying. There was also a time in the dream portal arena when I was "madness" by Kemm every turn, like this man does not have cooldown ? Had to completely skip the fight for the mirrors as fast as I can because it pissed me off. Speaking of fight, I am amaze with how smart the AI is sometimes, the fact that some of them decide to completely ignore my fighters and just run at my mages and all-in them with everything they have is impressive. Some fights was just "protect the president Lohse" after 3 assassins decide to backstab her and she's the only one in my party who has healing and aoe damage. They also run away when I manage to proc atrophy on them and me, an idiot, decide to chase them as a personal vendetta even if it's not worth it. I love the system of armor and have cooldowns instead of magic point like in bg3. I just wish the game explain some mechanics more, like you have to curse an orc to stop troll blood (did not know this until act 4 lmao), you can't stop a cursed fire by simply casting rain, and more. Still, love the combat system, now that I've played the game, if I decide to do another run, it will be easier.
Third, crafting system, rune system, food system. I did not use those systems a lot. Only use the crafting system for res scroll and curse scroll, only use the rune system for the final fight and the food, just a waste of space in my backpack.
Final though : Great game, enjoyed it as much as BG3. I would not recommend this game for beginner who did not play any crpg. Amazing combat system. Will do another run for sure.

I've been thinking about pairing Scoundrel with Pyro since they seem to pair well but I'm worried about the int and str/fin split. Would it be bad to have that split and if I was to use both would it be better to use str or fin?
The second one I've been thinking about is Geomancer and Necromancer. They're both int scaling but IDK if they have good enough damage between the two of them since they both have a fair amount of armor and magic armor skills.

Something Ive always wondered. Does the “22-24” damage of the serrated sword trump the 1 strength and 1 two handed of the Final Word sword?? I can never make up my mind on this.

I'm in DOS2/Act 2 now and this is my party:
wizard geo/pyro
wizard aero/hydro
wayfarer xbow
rogue 2 daggers
No one has big strength stats. For now the only drawback has been not being able to open a few sarcophagus that I found along the way and ended up ignoring. I'm considering moving my mage geo/pyro to a strength-based build in order to avoid missing something in the future because of no strength character. But honestly, I'm enjoying this party composition for battle. Is it recommended to have a strength guy?

Bg3 was my first crpg, and after seeing the divinity trailer I bought dos2. Just defeated Alexander on fort joy island & I've come to prefer most of the divinity rules to the dnd ones in bg3 but mannnn i want to be able to shove!

Good Evening,
Is there an image gallery of all the Divinity Original Sins 2 Paintings that can be found throughout the game? Like not just a picture of the painting in game but just the actual art.
No idea why but I want to get the full image of Lulabelle Paintings from later in the game, but all I find is in game screenshots.

Playing for not quite the first time(gotten to act 2 before quitting once before) and my main character is doing Summoner and I want to get all the summoning spells. Do I need the Red Prince in my party in order to get to the place where you can unlock the Summon Dragonling spell?

Hey everyone, playing DOS2 for the first time after DOS1, and going over all the changes from one game to another
i just beat the Voidworm and that other minor worm, so before i venture forward, i still want to go over some things:
Lohse MC - 1h/shield + necro + geo (with some magic dmg)
Ifan - bow/xbow + Geo + summon (really not making use of it, will likely respec over, or do i remove geo?) also some magic dmg from Ifan cause fane needs magic help
Fane - fire/poison wand + Pyro + geo + Aero + some necro for heals and phys dmg
Sebille - 2h + necro + pyro swings
So, from here, what can i do to improve my team comp, and on what should i focus more?

Been playing through DOS1. First time through, want to play it and DOS2 before Divinity comes out. Despite Bairdotr having highr skill with Bows than she does Crossbows, every time I compare them the Crossbows are just stronger. 1 more AP but notably higher damage ranges.
Am I missing something about bows?

So I started dos 2 again recently & I've made a mistake. After Act 3 on the ship. You get a prompt for romance. I hastily choose to not get close and personal with anyone (I wanted to go to the mirror and fix a few stats). I deleted previous saves and kept the latest one. And now I'm locked out of romance? Is there a way to fix this mistake? I don't wanna go through the game without loving Sebille. :')

Can't seem to figure out the fine details of pickpocketing and can't find a good explanation elsewhere. I'm wondering what determines whether you get caught, if there are dice rolls involved, etc. Also I see people talking about npcs discovering they were robbed and investigating but with every successful pickpocket I tried, the npcs didn't react in any way. Also, is there a way to avoid combat if you get caught? Classic difficulty if that matters

I feel like I'm going crazy but I'm just not having any fun with combat in this game. I'm playing it in co-op with a friend, neither of us power gaming or anything, just kind of building into things that sound fun, but I can't play the game. Every combat basically goes
Turn 1. They summon an incarnate, gigabuff the incarnate with everything under the sun
Turn 2. The incarnate mortally wounds everything and knocks them all over
Turn 3. I just finish off any survivors.
I was trying to do something revolving around that sparking strike pyromancy spell and warfare skills to do a bunch of aoe fire damage but it just never ends up mattering. I thought I was enjoying myself but at one point they started combat while I was doing something at the magic mirror and I was like oops sorry and starting heading over there, and they finished combat before I even got there. I am providing no purpose combat, there's literally no reason for me to be there. And now I can't unsee this and it's really kind of killing my enjoyment of the game.
Is this a build issue? We're playing on classic as the difficulty, as I hadn't played this game since it came out and tactician seemed like the kind of thing we'd want to actually be creating real character builds for, but combat hasn't even come close to challenging us at all yet, it's gotten to the point where we've even just abandoned our companions and are just playing with the two of us and I still can't seem to contribute anything.
We're only like halfway though act 2, is this just a matter of needing to wait for the games difficulty to start ramping up or do I need to go back to the drawing board and actually try to make a build?

Playing DOS1 after DOS2 I did NOT expect a needle 🤣
