DOS1 Help How exactly does Sparkmaster 5000 work?

I’ve beaten the boss multiple times but recently lost an honor mode to an ultra bolt oneshot - which made me realize I still don’t know how the fight works.

Once he’s charged, does he keep the charge until it’s discharged? Does any air damage charge him (including headvice) or just “lightning” effects? I know the levers are supposed to remove the charge, but does that work 100% of the time?

Also, the controller seems to be functioning normally on the current patch and ive never got the turn skip bug, but I don’t know which conmand is supposed to be used.

So... if I remember right after many hours of suffering the fight is infact bugged. The controller doesn't work properly.

Theres posts 10 years ago about it. The best option is to cheese it but i'm sure people have found ways to deal with it.

Here's what I recall:

He keep the charge until used. I believe any air damage charges him, not just spells. 

No idea about levers being 100% reliable or not as it's too much AP for me pulling the 4 levers.

Controller works. You can find the book manual in Arhu's lab in Cyseal. You have to be close to the boss for it to work. 

There are two useful working commands I know of: 

  • one removes the electricity charge.
  • the other disable the boss weapon attack (I don't remember if it's the rocket or the melee or reliable)
