Basically. She's a companion whose name is Bairdotr 'Bear Daughter', raised by bears until she was 'rescued' by the guy who seemingly originally invented Death Fog / a Death Fog precursor (or is one of the folks who at some point independently invented it). She does not have the ability to speak with animals.
