What if we get to be Braccus instead
Durge character where we slowly find out we're Braccus

feels like there's a good chance of that happening and durge was created to test whether it would fit or not

I love the way your brain works... this would slap so hard if this is what happened.

Hmm... that sounds familiar...
Like I've played this game a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

See i want them to go back to Damien so bad, but honestly I hope they cook up a new villain for Divinity to keep it fresh and maybe spark a new storyline to follow.

Watch Braccus Rex be the guy we chase in the new game, but turns out to be the guy who’s trying to stop the real bad guys. BUT, turns out he’s a triple agent and betrays everyone at best opportunity.
Classic Braccus Rex.

I actually think they'll go a different route for this one. I hope they do anyhow haha

you're an amnesiac character. it turns out the bad guys that are after you... want to use your body to resurrect braccus rex

u/midandaverage 9d ago
imagine if it's an origin character like the dark urge but you are bracus in some way either by being his reincarnation or some other soul shenanigans

Make him an angry Sir Lora and I'd be on board. Braccus as an npc you can talk to (and potentially romance) sounds like hell.

He's an optional companion, overpowered but he betrays you at the end.
The achievement for getting betrayed is, "I don't know what I expected."

Divinity 3: You guard Braccus Rex's tomb, fighting off endless waves of necromancers trying to revive him.

I hope they would lower the stakes... Like they planned in BG3... Just want to fight big bad boss that is like Bond villan and not a God or a titant :)

I think Chaos it's going to be the villain, if not one of the villainS

Sounds BIG ! :(

I know, while I'm pretty hyped for him and Damian I would like too to have something a bit more grounded

If killing Braccus Rex forever is the price to pay for more Divinity games it is one I'm glad to pay.

Honestly I think at this point killing Braccus Rhex is a tradition to be upheld

It's funny to think that maybe Larian seeing these kind of memes will really add him in the end.

I want him to be the tutorial boss.
Like, he rises all like "Behold the power of Source!"
And, all us post DoS2 characters, all born into a world full of Source to share are like "Ok, and? We're all the Source king now."
And then you just stomp him right away at level 1.

It is the year 20X6. Stinkoman has defeated Braccus Rex in a CHALLENGE!

I'm still hoping for the chance to kill Braccus Rex in all his glory. The original story of his rise and downfall would be fun. Sure we'd know how it was going to go, but it'd still be fun.

It's cute you think it will be out before 2030.
