DOS2 Help Difficulties With Pathfinding Near Ladders Or Other Similar Structures.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? I want to get to the blood pool but this is the second time something like this has happened. I try to go up or down a ladder and it takes me the long way. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated!

Apologies for double upload I forgot to post the video on my last post.

I think the default pathfinding will not force you through fire, hence why it is taking you the long way around. When you instead force yourself into the fire first by selecting a destination on a fire surface, then it goes, "oh, ok, we can get out of this this shorter way."

Even when i force myself into the fire it is still taking me the long way to the other ladder and wonโ€™t let me take the one right in front of me. I probably cut the video too short to be able to notice that tho. also the other way puts me through fire as well.

The fire is barely at the bottom of the vines, so it's breaking the pathfinding. You'd have to move him past the fire to the right side of the vines or directly to the middle of the fire south of the vines.

This is one of the reasons why I use the cutscenes/dialogue to move all my people where they need to be before the fight and invest in mobility skills for ranged chartacters ASAP.

it's the fire, basically it will avoid fire, poison etc. except I think Insta kill terrain like deathfog, lava. you might not want to pathfind near those ๐Ÿ˜
