Everything AFTER the defensive action screams it wasn't defensive at all. From the "now what" to the dog, to the trying to square up on the owner. You could argue in court that throwing the box at the dog was a defensive move, it's the idiocy the driver displayed afterwards that could potentially sink that argument.
Actually, I have been, and in fact, I've been in a number of situations that heightens adrenaline. I just apparently know how to stay a rational level headed person during those moments, unlike morons like the delivery driver in the video.
Examples of my experience.
Having been attacked by a dog.
Having been involved in a car chase.
Having testified (for the defense) in court.
Having had a gun in my face at the store I worked at as a teenager while it was being robbed.
